We are looking for enthusiastic Senior Installation Pipeline Project Engineers to join our team at our Houston, USA office on a full-time basis. We will also accept applications from candidates at lower levels than Senior.
You will be part of or leading a team of installation engineers, dealing with different pipeline installation methods (S&J Lay, reel lay) for a package of work on either a project or tender. You will support the efficient day-to-day running of the installation engineering team and provide regular operational reports on general project engineering activities, technical subject matters, and resource management. As a Senior or Principal Engineer, you will also provide guidance to other engineers on engineering subjects.
What will you be doing?
· Supporting or leading a team of method engineers to follow project scope(s) from early engagement with our internal and external clients through to offshore execution on board our reel lay assets.
· You’ll be a be a technical reference for pipeline installation and contribute to the sub-contractors selection
· Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities and subcontract follow up, proactively support HSEQ activities and prepare and deliver technical presentations.
- Installation rigging calculations and rigging design.
- Assist Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs and costing support.
- Supporting installation aid procurement, fabrication and testing follow up.
- Follow your scope offshore on our installation vessels.
What experience would we like you to have?

- You will be degree qualified in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology / Civil / Mechanical or equivalent
- You will have relevant experience as a project engineer in a subsea engineering field, ideally within an offshore pipeline installation role, particularly in the reel lay discipline (i.e., Reel Lay, J-Lay, S-Lay)
- Ideally you will have experience of guiding and leading teams of engineers in project scopes
- You should be a clear communicator, able to speak with all levels within the business, who is comfortable working on their own and as part of a team
