What is the role?

Seaway 7 are are looking for various levels of  Project Engineers/Installation Engineers - Offshore Cable Installation for Fixed Offshore Wind on a permanent staff basis, who can be based in our office in:

-          Oslo, Norway,

-          Zoetermeer, the Netherlands

-          Leer, Germany.

As a Project / Installation Engineers you will working under the CID (Cable Installation Delivery) unit supporting project teams with the development of cable pull-in methods, create execution procedures and optimize engineering for  installing offshore cables and associated equipment.

What will your responsibilities involve?

  • Review foundation or platform design for suitability of installation operations,
  • Prepare and review/approve offshore execution procedures
  • Prepare Task Plans and Quality Control Plans for Operations.
  • Review subcontractor and client documents.
  • Provide guidance to other engineers with respect to offshore installation methods
  • Plan assigned tasks and keep project team informed on progress and schedule
  • Liaise with task contributors / stakeholders and participate in project meetings
  • Resolve technical queries and recommend solutions to engineering problems
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and relevant codes
  • Mentor early career professionals (where applicable).

What are we looking for?

  • We encourage applications from those with a relevant Bachelors / Masters degree (for example Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) and will also consider those with equivalent technical qualifications or experience
  • Previous working experience as a Project Engineer or Installation Engineer in an offshore project / construction related environment.  
  • Willingness to travel abroad to offices / sites and sometimes offshore to our vessels is beneficial.
  • Able to work independent or under limited supervision. Discuss issues with colleagues to find workable solutions.
