Your mission

The Global Projects Centre & Asia Pacific (GPC & AP) is Subsea 7's center of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide.

Within the SCM department, you will be responsible for the management of the Fabrication category within the GPC & AP and the coordination of the Group category network. As fabrication is a critical category for the success of our projects, you will be in charge of identifying and negotiating competitive solutions to improve the competitiveness of our commercial offers to customers, contribute to the award of new projects, and establishing long-term relationships with suppliers.

Your main missions will be:

At GPC & AP level:

  • Have a technical, commercial, and strategic understanding of the Fabrication Category,
  • Collect and analyze the market intelligence of the Category,
  • Develop and manage the relationships with key Suppliers,
  • Establish the general procurement strategy of the Category for the GPC & AP,
  • Negotiate and maintain the Frame Agreements with strategic Suppliers,
  • Develop specific partnerships to enhance the competitiveness of the GPC& AP,
  • Source new Suppliers to differentiate the GPC& AP against the competition,
  • Propose the procurement strategy on each GPC& AP Tenders,
  • Manage the consultations and negotiations with Suppliers,
  • Issue the budget recommendation and related Tenders deliverables,
  • Place all Purchase Orders of the Category in case of Contract Award,
  • Develop and lead the SCM Engineers working on the category on Tenders and Projects,

 At Group level:

  • Coordinate the actions of Group Category network,
  • Work with the Category Leads of other Regions to develop a global procurement strategy,
  • Present the proposed strategy to the Senior Management of Subsea7,

Your profile

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Business), Engineer Degree would be a plus;
  • Minimum of 15 years industry experience; Experience in fabrication would be a plus;
  • Good understanding of the overall technical issue and a good knowledge of the offshore industry and its specificities;
  • Good experience in commercial and contractual principals, negotiation processes and strategies;
  • In addition to the technical and commercial skills described above, the successful candidate will need to be a strong team player with effective communication, relationship and leadership skills, as well as appetite for strategic thinking.
