Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

 

Operations Preparation:

  • Define scope of work (SOW) relative to each vessel and interface with project engineering team to ensure engineering documents are timely developed in line with operations requirements.
  • Organise with project engineering team a constructability review by involving operational personnel, Vessel Operations Manager (VOM), Offshore Management Team (OMT), field engineers prior to initiating detailed installation engineering
  • Review and comment Technical Document Register (Installation engineering documents).
  • Determine Spread for realisation of offshore Operations: construction vessels, chartered support and transportation vessels etc. Taking into account requirements from VOM regarding the support vessels.
  • Responsible for marine spread assurance with dedicated team (Subsea 7, Client and local requirements); Organise supporting surveys and audits as required.
  • Check Communication means/ VSAT availability for chartered vessels.
  • Organise Manning of chartered vessels with support of Offshore Crewing Group (Define, Allocate, Logistic).
  • Define personnel requirements (POB) for project specific subcontract quantity/ functions such as pre-commissioning staff, local content.
  • Review & Endorse POB (quantity /functions).
  • Ensure availability of project specific safety equipment/PPE and safety personnel with support of HSE Advisor.
  • Ensure training in plan for onshore and offshore personnel as per Subsea 7 global policy.
    • Follow-up of chartered vessel management as VOM for Audits, POB definition, Mobilization/demobilization, HSE, Emergency Plan, Scope of work.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • 10 years of experience in operations, from which minimum of 5 years of working experience in offshore operations ideally as field engineer, with a significant part spent on board installation vessels for pipelay, flex-lay, HLV and other subsea construction scopes including Air and saturation diving works.
  • Good knowledge of logistic rules and principles on which immigration, customs and importation / exportation laws of mainly KSA and other ME countries.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good ability to synthesize information, challenging execution Plan considering significant marine spread requirements on T&I projects
  • Good capability to develop schedule of execution under MicroSoft Project
