GENERIC RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Operate within standardised SCM policies, processes and systems and leverage the systems side to support the provision of relevant and quality metrics
  • Under supervision, deliver to the appropriate standard the defined elements of the supply chain process as delegated.
  • Work within cross-functional teams as directed
  • Capitalise from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently
  • Maintain and produce appropriate reports and logs for all relevant internal parties, proactively highlighting issues to ensure these are identified in advance and can be addressed.
  • This will involve but shall not be limited to Supplier Registration and Qualification, Supplier Screening, Supplier Performance Assessment and associated reporting and presentations of statistical data on all of the foregoing.
  • shall also be proficient in SAP ERP in order to be a key focal point for training, support/guidance and reporting of all required statistical data and auditing of processes as required.
  • In addition to provide support to other Supply Chain Management Leads as may be required from time to time.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

The SCM Process and Systems Manager shall operate in compliance with all Supply Chain Management policies, processes and systems and leverage the systems side to support the provision of relevant and quality metrics.

Supervision of Supplier Registration and Qualification in SAP Ariba

  • receiving internal requests for action
  • initiating the onboarding process with Suppliers
  • expediting Suppliers to respond (where required)
  • working with Suppliers to resolve any understanding or technical issues on their part (where required) `and escalating internally as may be necessary to resolve
  • co-ordinating and/or liaising with internal Disciplines to perform their part of the review process (e.g., Finance, Quality, HSE, Corporate MDR Team)

 

Supervision of Supplier Business Ethics and Human Rights Screening      using Exiger Insight 3PM

  • running in parallel with SAP Ariba Registration and/or Qualification and determination of Supplier high riskclassification
  • performing mandatory levels of Screening as may be required
  • reviewing and adjudicating results
  • escalating to Compliance Officersignificant alerts, red flags,

 

Supervision of SAP ‘Master Data Requests’ (MDR)

Using the SAP MDR application for:

  • Supplier Registration requests direct to SAP where exception to the SAP Ariba process has been granted by SCM Management
  • to extend Supplier existing SAP account to additional Purchasing Organisation and/or Company Code
  • to block or unblock a Supplier SAP account
  • to make internal changes to a Supplier SAP account (does not include such changes where the Supplier is responsible for accessing their SAP Ariba account directly to submit a change)

 

SAP ERP ‘Super User’

Using extensive and proficient knowledge to:

  • be a key Super Userfor SAP ERP to support the SCM Team and wider community
  • to provide onboarding training and guidance for new starts in all aspects of the procure to pay process
  • to provide daily assistance, guidance, mentoring and troubleshooting support
  • to provide all aspects of SAP monitoring, reporting and auditing as required

 

Reporting and Data Analytics

  • Regular reporting on all of the above, by extracting data using Power Business Intelligence(BI); content of reporting as may be determined by SCM Management
  • Reporting and assistance to other SCM Leads as may be required from time to time

 

Training and Support

  • Using existing and ongoing knowledge of SAP ERP to provide training and ongoing support to the wider SCM Team

 

AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS

  • Operate within the Business Code of Conduct
  • Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles
  • Support standards and procedures for the Supply Chain Function

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Holds a relevant degree or equivalent
  • Good Familiarity with MM module of SAP and also be proficient in SAP ERP in order to be a key focal point for training, support/guidance
  • 10 years of experience in SCM
  • Additional qualifications from a professional body are desirable
  • Appropriate experience in a one or more of the Supply Chain areas of expertise, most recently in an expert capacity.
  • Ability to coach and guide more junior colleagues

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, to be able to communicate externally with Suppliers and internally with all key interfaces
  • Be meticulous and organised with ability to multi-task and have a keen attention to detail
  • Be able to run training sessions and communicate process and system use effectively
  • Engaged and committed to expedite and achieve results and meet tight deadlines
