SENIOR FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

Seaway7 is looking for a Senior Financial Administrator to join the Accounting Team within our Finance Department in the Netherlands. Seaway 7 operates from 4 main offices:

Located in our Zoetermeer office, the Senior Financial Administrator will support the delivery of Monthly, Quarterly and Year end closing procedures and preform the various reconciliations as required.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Preparing and submitting VAT fillings and closely work with the Tax manager
  • Ensuring that the processing of payroll journals is performed accurately, in a timely and efficient manner paying particular attention to detail
  • Being pro-active in dealing with open items on the balance sheet to clear these items accordingly
  • Monitoring Customer and Vendor accounts for irregularities or discrepancies
  • Monitoring Vendor accounts, with prefunding payments and offsetting invoices
  • External reporting to local statistical agencies (E.g. CBS)
  • Responding to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, summarising, and interpreting data
  • Ensuring financial data is accurate, on-time and complete
  • Supporting during interim, internal and year-end audits
  • Ensuring that correct procedures are being used and that all relevant documents are in place and auditable
  • Setting up and maintaining procedures relating to financial administration
  • Supporting Treasury and Accounts Payable in case of any queries

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM

  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • Hands-on mentality and motivation to work efficiently
  • Deadline-oriented and able to work under time constraints
  • An eye for details/accuracy
  • Able to plan workload and remain flexible for certain level of ad hoc tasks
  • Proactive in signalling deadlines
  • Able to create structure and align monthly processes
  • Strong communicator in English (both spoken and written)
  • Able to connect with stakeholders on different levels
  • SAP knowledge/experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook & Excel)
