Subsea7 Global Project Centre (GPC) West is looking to recruit an experienced Package HSE Lead to join the team. This position will be part of the wider GPC West HSE team and provides active support to projects globally, including offshore and onshore worksite and office-based support.

We are looking for a well-rounded, experienced, and capable team member to be able to fit into projects, implement change, provide support to high-risk worksites, and importantly provide leadership and support to the HSE wider team.

This role will require the candidate to be able to work across multiple projects at once or commit to a single project when needed while providing functional support. This is a diverse role and as such, we require someone with wide experience who is mobile and capable of travelling on and offshore or equally capable of working in an office environment for extended periods of time. The successful candidate will bring a variety of HSE experience (project, corporate, site) and relevant professional experience (Marine, Diving, Trade etc) to the role.

Key skills and experience needed for the role are as follows:

  • Ability to assist and coach the projects and/or worksites on all matters pertaining to the health, safety, security and welfare of personnel, the safeguarding of equipment and the preservation of the environment,
  • Ability to implement change and ensure worksites, people and projects are delivering on Subsea7 wider HSE goals while supporting the GPC team deliver on functional goals,
  • Provide specific HSE advice for marine based environments, including offshore installation campaigns, near-shore campaigns, and management of various known marine related risks,
  • Contribute to wider HSE team(s) and support younger team members, provide support to project HSE Managers and other project team members,
  • Lead by example in all behaviours both at work and outside of ‘work’,
  • Completion of weekly and monthly reports and other typical administration duties which may be required in project roles,
  • Support projects and HSE function with the maintenance of specific HSE documents including Emergency Response Plans other HSE documentation,
  • Ability to speak in public and present in an engaging way,
  • Ability to engage a multi-cultural workforce and ensure people from various background understand HSE messaging and Subsea7 HSE expectations,
  • Co-ordinate or participate in HSE risk assessments,
  • Review and participate in subcontractor risk assessment reports to ensure they are adequate and facilitate as needed,
  • Participate and/or lead incident investigations - provide high quality incident reports and monitor the close out of actions internally and externally,
  • Ability to use the Microsoft suite of products including Microsoft Teams, Streams, OneDrive, Planner etc.

Essential Requirements of the Role:

  • Ability to travel globally, while equally the ability to work in an office setting via teams and in-person. This role is not a fixed rotation role, but the ability to travel ad hoc, and or work onshore and offshore for up to 4 weeks at a time may be needed.
  • Fitness to work offshore and obtain offshore medical,
  • Relevant professional HSE qualifications, operational HSE experience, and
  • Experience speaking other languages in addition to English would be advantageous but not essential.

 First year of the role

Initially you will be deployed to a major project in Turkiye (Until Q3-2025) supporting a key package which will be crucial for the remaining project scopes. As such, for the first year of the role you will be focused on this project, with specific requirements of this role being:

  • Support for the Floating Production Unit (FPU) scope and all support packages associated,
  • Providing HSE support to the package from Preliminary Hazard Assessments ahd Hazard Identification Risk Assessments through to vessel mobilisations and ER readiness reviews,
  • Providing HSE functional support to the wider project focusing on marine risks and support to various near shore packages,
  • Attend all relevant package meetings, project meetings and functional meetings, and
  • Travel to Sutton UK, Turkey and offshore Turkey will be expected, if based outside of these locations.

Due to the accelerated nature of the project a candidate with strong knowledge of the Subsea7 SSoW is preferred and with necessary experience to support the project immediately.
