Due to internal movement, we are looking for a Treasury Accountant to join our Finance Resource Centre (FRC) Treasury Team on a full-time, staff basis.  Our FRC Treasury function is a fast paced, global transaction team who work together to ensure we pay our people and suppliers on time, efficiently and accurately.  If you share our values – safety, integrity, performance, collaboration, innovation and sustainability and you are friendly, positive, willing and consistent – you can expect this experience to enhance your profile within Subsea 7 and make a lasting difference to a critical business function.

 

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the FRC Treasury Team Lead, you will be the line manager for a small team of Treasury Associates working closely with them looking after all the banking requirements of management regions, prioritise workloads and driving process improvements. 

Working closely with Group Treasury team, you will be responsible for reviewing, correcting, and monitoring the accounting transactions from the Group Treasury system (FiS) into the accounting system (SAP).

  • You will be responsible for the banking administration and compliance; this includes:
  • Working closely with the banks to ensure the access of banking platform users is accurate.
  • Onboarding and training new users on the banking platform.
  • Investigating functionality of the banking platforms to maximise efficiency in the payment and receipts process.
  • Reviewing weekly payment files.
  • Reviewing manual payments.
  • Reviewing bank reconciliations.
  • Develop and perform trend analysis on manual payments and payment failures in the bank.
  • Identify and lead improvements in the processes and systems to reduce the number of errors and manual payments.
  • Work closely with the Team Lead to provide weekly cashflow information for the expected payments each week to Group Treasury.
  • You will understand the importance of the vendor master data in SAP and perform key controls around approving vendor master data changes, ensuring our data meets the payment requirements and work closely with the business and provide training to ensure payments are made efficiently.
  • Fantastic communication is vital, leading the treasury section of collaboration calls with Regional Finance teams and SCM functions around the globe, helping the regions to understand payment requirements, timings and processes, as well as following up and resolving issues.
  • It will be exciting, busy, varied and challenging so a ‘hands-on, sleeves-up’ approach is an absolute must. You will work closely with the Accounts Payable, SCM, Group Treasury and regional Finance teams to deliver an efficient, reliable and high-quality payment service.

  • A finance professional with a background in accounting, financial controls or cost control and looking to broaden your experience with development in line manager responsibilities with a process improvement mind set.
  • The FRC Treasury team is a high-profile area within the business, and you need to have a desire to understand in detail how different functions work together within the procure to pay process.
  • Possess a logical, collaborative approach to solving problems and a focus on providing well thought out solutions.
  • Proactive and confident to work on your own initiative.
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to prioritise work effectively, with a sound understanding of accounting and intercompany relationships.
  • Able to understand and investigate queries from the Subsea 7 business and then communicating the status and conclusions of these verbally and in writing is important in this role.
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft 365 packages including Excel. Working knowledge of SAP.
