We are looking for a Test & Termination (Service Operations) Lead to join our team in Aberdeen, UK or Leer Germany on a staff basis.
The Service Operations Lead (CID) is responsible for the management of all framework agreements (FA) and internal T&T supervisors for planned Test & Termination (T&T) activities that are conducted within the global Cable Installation Delivery (CID) department.
The role actively ensures a holistic support of S7 Project teams to deliver and prepare standardised T&T scopes from tenders to supplier selection, mobilisation, and execution of all upcoming projects.
What you will be doing
- Align personnel and equipment setup with project team and SCM during of T&T subcontract preparation.
- Operational management of T&T suppliers for planned T&T activities.
- Ensuring operational readiness of T&T subcontractors prior to project begin in readiness trackers.
- Ensuring standard CID QA/QC control measures for subcontractor scope as per requirements are in place and functioning.
- POC for all Pull In and T&T suppliers maintaining their overall performance and communication of quality issues.
- Setting up of new CID framework agreements with support from SCM as per identified future market requirements to prepare for upcoming tender requirements.
- Reserving and planning of inhouse T&T management personnel (T&T supervisors) allocation for projects as per requirements.
- Plan and conduct feedback workshops with T&T supervisors and Project Management teams to improve CID service scope.
- Facilitate arrangement of training events as required for CID personnel and subcontractors to ensure project preparedness in alignment with Project Management teams.
- Actively support project teams with information on CID provided services from early engagement.
- In alignment with Pull-in and T&T Manager, support preparation of procedures for scope of CID Service Operations Team.
What you will bring to the team

- You will have detailed technical knowledge and experience of the high-voltage or medium-voltage electrical equipment and cable installation systems as well as offshore work setups of T&T Scopes.
- You will hold a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position in the offshore wind industry.
- You will be degree qualified at Bachelor level or equivalent in a technical or commercial discipline.
- You will have significant, relevant previous experience working in a similar role within the energy industry, as well as experience of a management/team lead level role.
- You will have proven leadership skills, and demonstrable experience of building teams with the ability to motivate, connect empathetically and collaborate effectively with your team and individuals of all levels across the business.
- You will be commercially proficient with ability to maintain a high level of diligence and accuracy in your day-to-day work, even in times of high pressures and stressful situations.
- You will be a good communicator and negotiator, comfortable conversing in English in both written and spoken word.
- The individual in this position should be willing to travel and work at various international sites at request of manager.
