DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity available in our Sales and Marketing Department for a Commercial Lead (Tendering) which works on each tender as the commercial lead. Working closely with the Tendering Manager, you will be an integral part of our success. Having responsibility for the preparation and coordination of tenders across a variety of significant EPCI subsea construction projects for both the Conventional and Renewables energy sectors ranging in value to the hundreds of millions.
Utilising your previous experience in the energy industry, you will prepare tenders utilising a global fleet of over 25 diving, pipe lay, and construction vessels owned and operated by Subsea7. This fleet of vessels combined with technological innovation makes Subsea7 a global leader in subsea engineering services and an excellent place to continue your commercial career. Your responsibilities in this dynamic role will also include ensuring that internal deliverables for costing have been properly validated by functional managers, track and challenge cost and quantity allowances and compare cost estimations versus historical benchmarks and analyse deviations.
A summary of the key duties for the position are as follows:

Preparation of tenders in a structured approach, providing specialist non-technical tendering expertise and coordinating all aspects of the tender in accordance with Subsea7 processes and client requirements;

Participate in the negotiation phase, for terms and conditions of tenders with Customers and Suppliers to achieve the best commercial position with minimum exposure to risk;

Ensure all tenders you have responsibility for are quality controlled and fully validated by the Functions;

Ensure an accurate and economic costing of tenders/budgets and assessment of risks including competition/market trends;

Participate in all necessary tender technical, risk, HSEQ and contractual reviews, as well as record and complete all functional validations;

Contribute to the tender commercial strategy and execution plan as directed;

Support the monitoring of bid performance against Subsea7's commercial targets.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
All level of experiences are welcome but preferred if the candidate have more than >5 years of experience across Commercial, Operations, Engineering or Fabrication within the energy industry and be able to bring your tenacity, commercial acumen, and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to the team. You will be degree qualified (ideally in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Marketing) or similar and have experience working within an EPCI environment.
