Subsea7 are looking for Project Engineers of all levels to join our UK & Global IRM team on either a Staff or Contract basis to work in our Aberdeen, Westhill office.  We can offer continuity and career growth prospects.

Our UK & Global IRM division are the team responsible for the practical execution and delivery of a variety of IRM and Construction Projects across the world.  They work with a variety of projects, ranging from IRM (Inspection, Repair and Maintenance) work to large EPIC projects, including working with our Bundles Pipeline technology.

Our Project Engineers provide engineering skills to projects, tendering activities, engineering studies, vessels & equipment and offshore engineering processes. The Engineer will usually work as part of a team and may also be required to provide information and engineering guidance to other functions within the business. Work may be carried out onshore, onsite or offshore.

What will you be doing?

  • Onshore fabrication methods and practices
  • Subsea construction techniques (diver and diver less), equipment and methods (including estimation and planning of construction and IRM activities)
  • Rigging and sea fastening design, equipment and methods (including any legislative and regulatory requirements)
  • Basic vessel motion response theory
  • Fabrication and construction contracting methods

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Previous Subsea IRM and Construction experience in a similar role is essential
  • It is desirable for candidates to be Degree qualified in an engineering discipline; however demonstrable industry experience is equally valid
  • Ability to function within a team across multiple projects
  • Ability to control interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, client and suppliers.
  • Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Offshore Medical and survival certificates are desirable although not essential
