OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

As part of the East GPC Operations department, the East GPC planner ensures Subsea 7 Global Vessel Schedule is up to date for vessels involved in East GPC work such as projects, tenders,  prospects and M&R, including also 3rd party vessels.

 

Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Develops and fosters a positive HSEQ culture throughout Subsea 7,
  • Assists the GPC Vessel Strategy and GVS Lead in maintaining the Global Vessel Schedule (GVS) up to date for East GPC related activities to ensure alignment between schedule and financials (i.e. PMSRs),
  • Ensures prompt Monthly input into the GVS and reviews quality of input following projects Monthly Report issuance,
  • Follows-up Regional Vessels with M&R works and include in GVS,
  • Regularly challenges potential clashes and gaps within GPC and between GPC requirements and the wider Subsea 7/Seaway 7,
  • Supports GPC Vessel Strategy and GVS Lead with “what-if” scenarios,
  • Assists GPC Sales & Marketing (S&M) with respect to vessel availability and clashes with awarded works,
  • Supports GPC S&M with updating tenders and prospects into the GVS,
  • Contributes to improve the processes, tools within the function,
  • Ensure alignment with Group GVS procedure.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

  • Degree level relevant planning, engineering or quantity surveying and technical background,
  • Proactive and “go get it” attitude,
  • Resourceful and problem-solving abilities with hands-on attitude,
  • Experience working in a project and tender environment,
  • Ability to manage a fast pace and diverse workload,
  • Strong ability to work with diverse teams and drive convergence,
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly,
  • Proper communication skills,
  • English Written / spoken.

PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of P6 and Microsoft project
  • Operational experience
  • Familiar with offshore operations planning
