Chartering and Marine Intern

 

If you are selected as a Chartering and Marine Intern, you will be responsible for working within Subsea7’s, Gulf of Mexico chartering and marine program. Activities will include directly supporting the charterers launching invitations to tender, evaluating technical specifications, receiving offers, negotiating technical and commercial issues, and providing operational support for multiple projects. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs commercial and contractual analysis, schedule evaluation of bids and incorporate technical evaluation from Engineering, Marine, Diving & HSSEQ.

Preforms marine assurance reviews on all marine assets proposed for hire in support of the project work scope through to final selection and hire.

Support charterers in the drafting of Charter terms, conditions and developing clarification registers in support of negotiations with the supplier. 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Currently engaged in a degree field relating to Maritime Administration, Marine Transportation, Chartering, Marine Operations or Marine Engineering from a maritime education university.

Strong problem-solving and negotiating skills.

Proficient verbal and written business English skills.

Ethical with a commitment to Safety.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

Residing the Project Management and Operations organization, the Chartering and Marine Intern will report to the Chartering and Marine Operations Manager.  Accountable to interface daily with Charterers is support of contracting 3rd party vessels used for subsea work scopes.

The intern will be concurrently assigned to several projects as allocated to a team of individuals with similar responsibilities.
