We are looking for a passionate HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor to join our team at our Singapore office a on what will initially be a 12 month contract basis.

 

What will you be doing?

The job holder supports the Human Resources function, providing flexible and professional HR advice throughout the offshore community, predominately servicing our Global Employment Company (GEC).

You will be responsible for at least one offshore skill pools or vessels, providing generalist human resources advice, strategies and support.

 

Key Responsibilities & Activities include:

  • You will be a primary focal point for Human Resources for allocated skill pools or vessels, delivering all HR services including compensation/remuneration, investigations, disciplinary action, grievance management, absence management, onboarding and general HR queries.
  • Work closely with the HR Coordinator to ensure efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the function’s activities to business and crew.
  • Check monthly HR Audit files for audit by Senior/HR Business Partner.
  • Personnel Action Notice (PAN) and necessary follow up with crew, including letters and communication to crew when necessary.
  • Maintain proper record keeping of personnel files.
  • Follow up on absence management with crew and recommend for salary continuation where necessary.
  • Guide the HR Coordinator on day-to-day operations including effective and professional first level communication to crew.
  • Conduct disciplinary and grievance cases as assigned.
  • Develop a constructive and professional relationship with all stakeholders.

 

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Relevant industry experience including but not limited to Marine Construction, Civil Engineering, Oil and Gas sectors.
  • Degree in human resource or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of HR systems (particularly SAP).
  • Experience in HR operations including HR Shared Services.
  • Effective supervisory and team leadership skills.
  • Advanced customer service skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work efficiently.
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with internal stakeholders and crew.
  • For candidates who have demonstrated track records in relevant work experiences, where they has provided an advanced level of HR advice to management & employee will be considered as Senior HR Advisor.
  • At least 5 years of HR generalist experience within a similar environment.
