Under supervision a Graduate Engineer assists more senior engineers to produce detailed engineering relevant to their area of specialism. The work scope may include supporting studies and tenders as well as live projects. The Graduate Engineer will normally participate in the Graduate Engineer Development Scheme (GEDS) involving off-the-job training, on-the-job development, mentoring and self-development.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under direct supervision, produces engineering deliverables, which may include engineering support to DO, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and 3rd-party submissions.
  • Consolidates knowledge in areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.
  • Be aware of interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, clients, and subcontractors/vendors.
  • Assist in the preparation of Installation engineering analysis, to ensure the safe operation during installation.
  • Participate in the project weekly meeting related to its scope.
  • Issuing technical queries after review by the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Adheres to the training requirements of the GEDS.
  • Originate documents such as analysis reports, drawings, Change Control Forms.
  • Responsible for ensuring a firm understanding of PR-GL-ENG-014 Engineering Management and Control Procedure.

Important note:

  • Project Engineering Manager may assign additional project-specific roles and responsibilities, in agreement with Function Head, given all statutory and legislative regulations are fulfilled.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering degree holder or equivalent.
  • May have some directly related work experience.
  • Orcaflex Knowledge (Beneficial, not compulsory).
