Project Controls Assistant

We are looking for a Project Controls Assistant to join our team at our Taipei office in Taiwan on a 12-month contract basis.

The Project Controls Assistant performs a key role in the general administration of the control of revenue and other commercial items within the Project(s). This role will require stakeholder relationships with our 3rd party suppliers and clients and internally our Operations, SCM, Project and Contracts management teams.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, process and procedures. Ensure compliance with the Client Contracts regarding the control of revenue.
  • Assists the Project Controls Manager or Project Services Manager with the day to day running of the Project(s).
  • Requires skills in SAP, Sharepoint, spreadsheet and word processing software and thorough knowledge of practices and procedures of the functional policy and procedures in general.
  • Liaises with the Supply Chain Department to ensure the control of Supplier costs are maintained with regards to reimbursement from the Client.
  • Liaise with the Contracts Department to understand the revenue process and documentation required for revenue application from the Client.
  • May use independent judgment in defining methods and procedures to reach an end product for Project Controls tasks under the guidance of the Project Controls Manager or Project Services Manager.

  • Degree qualified in areas such as Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Business Management, Finance and Accounting.
  • Previous experience of Project Controls within project teams is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of SAP and SharePoint essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency in English.
  • High degree of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, pro-active and open in communication with all parties both internally and externally.
  • Ability to multitask across different projects, flexible in approach and possess the ability to change priorities as and when business or Client needs dictate.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time.
  • Self-motivated and can work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Effectively uses time and completes tasks on time through routine planning of own work.
  • Pro-active and positive to changes and challenges typical of the Energy Sector.
