Integrated within the RIAU team the engineer will be supporting tender and/or project for the Technical follow-up of the purchase order for the subsea products.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand Client (alliance and internal technical stakeholders) needs to develop Technical Scope of Work for Suppliers.  
  • Interface with SCM / Supplier to evaluate the various proposals, support the selection of the Supplier through Technical Bid Evaluation.
  • Plan, detail and review technical documentation (from Subsea7 and from Supplier) relating to the product itself (such as Flexible Joint, Buoyancy Modules, Flexible Pipe, Umbilical), but also Topside interface, End terminations design, Ancillaries, and other associated hardware.
  • Act as the owner of the supplier technical documents and ensure supplier documents are reviewed by relevant disciplines within Subsea7, ensure all the internal comments are discussed with the reviewers, and consolidate the comments for further discussions with the supplier.
  • With support of Lead Engineer, identify and manage the required project interface (e.g. SPS Contractors, Client, PEM, Package Manager, Suppliers, SCM, QC, Pipeline Group etc.) to ensure progress and compliance of the supplier scope.  
  • Ensure selected design / proposal is in accordance with industry Codes, Standards, and Design Guides, Client Specifications, Scopes of Work, and Subsea7 internal standard (BMS).
  • Actively follow-up project planning with SCM and QC Function related to design activities, manufacturing, testing by suppliers. Ad-hoc mission to supplier premise may be required.
  • Provide engineering assistance during mobilizations, Testing (FATs, SITs), Pre-commissioning etc.  
  • Provide regular reporting to your lead regarding MDR/SDR Progress, Status of key registers (e.g. Supplier Technical Query, Deviation Request etc.), any technical changes from the base case scope.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in either technical package management, technical sales, procurement support, manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplined systems engineering team.
  • Interest in Offshore/Subsea energy EPCI project.
  • Undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to drafting office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.
  • Manage interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, client and suppliers.
  • Manage change control within own remit on a project. Inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.  
  • Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints.
  • Ability in Vendor and 3rd Party management.
  • Ability in working in multicultural group.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the regional main office site.
  • Offshore / Off-site location during project Execution phase as required.
  • Working hours according to local regulation and Company's policy.
