DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

  • Provide SCM support for goods and/or services procurement requested by the in-country project(s). Work jointly with SCM Specialists/SCM Engineers and under supervision of the SCM Manager.
  • S/He ensures a good and efficient interface with other departments (Project team, Vessels, Operations at Site, Accounting/Finance for invoicing, Logistics and Administrative Affairs for good receipts/service acceptance).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work according to Subsea 7 processes, use SCM tools, and behave in accordance with Subsea 7 Code of Conduct.
  • Check the comprehensiveness of the Purchase Requisition (PR) content, request any missing information to PR Requestor and if necessary complete the PR data.
  • Participate in supporting the SCM department to source, qualify and enlarge local vendors/suppliers/subcontractors’ data base.
  • Support the local/project SCM team for critical requests/packages.
  • When requested by SCM Manager, submit the PR/PO to the relevant authority & chase and claim the validation/signature of the PR/PO by relevant authority.
  • Create the Purchase Order (PO) following SCM sourcing decisions and using the proper terms & conditions validated by SCM Management.
  • Create the PR/PO and maintain up to date and manage any necessary revision according to the SCM processes (initial PR, supplier quotations, PR, PO, Supplier Receipt, etc…). Act as the PO owner for the request/package s/he would be held accountable.
  • Prepare and participate to meetings (e.g. Kick-Off) with Suppliers upon SCM Manager request.
  • Ensure regular feedback to the department and SCM Manager about running activity, schedule and completion of works.
  • Ensure feedback to SCM Management about supplier performance (speed, reactivity, communication, relation, accuracy, etc…).
  • Provide other type of support to the SCM department upon request outside of the above non exhaustive list.
  • Highlight all discrepancies in SCM processes, identify related risks and propose actions to minimize such risk.

QUALITY REQUIRED

  • 3-5 years’ experience with Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline (preferably Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Marine).
  • Is interested in the overall project schedule, planning, organisation.
  • Good communication & administrative skills, building effective relationship with suppliers/stakeholders.
  • Must be fluent in English (oral and written). French would be a plus.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and accurate reporting, both written and verbal (especially in English).
  • Quick learner with strong commitment.
  • Flexibility, strategic thinking & time management
  • Medium/Advance knowledge on Microsoft Pack office.
  • Knowledge on SAP systems (MM module).

AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS 

  • Operate within the Business Code of Conduct & according to Subsea7’s Management Principle
  • Support Standards and Procedures for the Supply Chain Function
  • For level of Authority the SCM Engineer.
  • Position is not authorised to commit the Company on his own. Any commitment with third parties must be authorised by budget holders.
