Position Summary:

The HR Advisor supports the Human Resources (HR) Function through providing a flexible and professional HR service to Line Management and employees, through full alignment of employee related strategies, Subsea 7 policies and relevant legislations.

This is an operational HR generalist role where the incumbent will provide advice on L&D, Recruitment, Employee Services and Comp & Ben administration and expatriates management admin.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSSE culture within at the work site and ensure familiarity with, and adherence to, local HSE requirements.

All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity and ensure familiarity with, and adherence to, the Subsea 7 Code of Conduct.

Main Responibilities:

  • Provides HR business partnering within the designated business area
  • Develops a constructive and professional relationship with employees, local stakeholders and HR colleagues within Subsea 7
  • Responsible for all HR Administration activities including the collation and maintenance of HR records in both electronic and paper based systems in an accurate and timely manner
  • Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost effective management and delivery of the function's activities within the designated area of responsibility, considering local employment legislation
  • Supports the implementation, standardisation, compliance and efficiency of HR policies, processes, procedures and systems across Subsea 7 Egypt
  • Supports Egypt and the regional HR plan and strategy
  • Ensures Human Resources capitalises from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently
  • Designs and produces regular statistical reports on HR information and data
  • Ensures the implementation of and adherence to Subsea 7's Management System, professional tools, policies, systems and processes
  • Participates in Regional and Global HR initiatives as and when required
  • May be assigned specific ad-hoc HR Projects
  • Likely to organise and ensure the effective administration of complex and large scale HR events

Experience & Competencies:

  • Demonstrable experience within an HR Advisor or Business partner role
  • Worked with Egyptian Labour law and Social Insurance legislation rules
  • Good working knowledge of HR best practice
  • Ability to work closely with individuals and teams of people
  • Able to communicate effectively and comfortably at all levels with a pleasant and articulate manner both internal and external stakeholdrs
  • Ability to run induction and awareness sessions where necessary with good engaging presentation skills
  • Familiar with competency based interviewing
  • Familiar with TNA
  • Experience with management of 3rd parties
  • Degree Qualified or equivalent
  • Working towards CIPD or equivalent international qualification, where appropriate
  • Strong organizational, administration and planning skills, always on top of things.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work load
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas and embrace new ways of working with sound common sense and problem solving skills
  • Positive, proactive approach to working and able to represent the Company in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR tools and processes.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic both oral and written
  • Proficient in MS office Suite
  • Proficient in SAP

This is a an office based role but incumbent might need to travel to sites and other offices when required
