 The Project Cost Supervisor is responsible for the provision of Cost Control services to ensure accurate, timely and value added analysis and reporting of costs in the Country. The discipline contributes to the effective running of projects and comprises responsibility for, but not limited to cost performance status reporting.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.



Generic Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Ensure compliant use of corporate Cost Control systems and processes associated and/or interfaced with other Project Control systems
  • Liaise with functional groups within the Country to ensure the success of the Cost Control process
  • Manage and organise the Cost Control discipline on the project in accordance with procedures where identified
  • Develop the forecasting philosophy, adherence to it and ensure timely execution
  • Organise and supervise monthly Project Cost Control Reviews and attend PMSR in meetings
  • Actively discuss and engage with other project service functions on the project in order to provide a cohesive and consistent set of forecast information.
  • Prepare the PMSR and monitor continuously the accuracy, reliability and reporting to Corporate in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain the Control Budget and ensure all commitments are controlled against the agreed budgets
  • Ensure that a change management process is in place and be pro-active in early identification of deviations and corrective actions
  • Participate in the Risk Management process and manage the Project Contingency
  • Ensure Cost Control capitalises from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently
  • Develop the team through clearly understood roles, responsibilities and performance objectives, regular feedback and continuing professional training

  • Professional qualifications - Degree qualified ideally in Cost Management, Project Management, Finance or Engineering. Membership to a relevant Professional body is desirable
  • Broad experience of delivering Cost Control and various types and size of project.
  • Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or offshore environment
