Senior Logistics Coordinator - Bonded Warehouse

 

Position Overview
The Bonded Warehouse Controller supports the Logistics Manager in developing and maintaining high‑quality logistics services that enhance company profitability. The role ensures compliance with HSSEQ, business ethics, relevant procedures, and customs regulations. It also contributes to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across projects and tenders.

 

Key Responsibilities
- Bonded Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate and control all equipment movements to/from the bonded warehouse.
- Ensure accurate customs declaration of goods entering Norway in accordance with Norwegian Customs requirements.
- Prepare documentation for customs clearance of all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Maintain daily updates of the bonded warehouse log, ensuring all goods, quantities, and locations are traceable.
- Prepare annual stock report to Norwegian Customs, including identification of missing items and VAT implications.
- Maintain a complete and compliant filing system for customs inspections.

 

Compliance & Communication
- Maintain close communication with Norwegian Customs and Subsea7’s appointed freight forwarders.
- Renew bonded warehouse authorisations before expiry.
- Create Over, Short & Damage (OSD) reports as required.
- Ensure all bonded warehouse equipment is properly marked.

 

Support & Collaboration
- Provide training to Subsea7 personnel on bonded warehouse processes.
- Cooperate with in‑house warehouse teams and other storage sites for project materials.
- Check monthly customs invoices (S7 Norway, S7 Ltd, PPG) and provide supporting documentation to Finance.
- Maintain and further develop IT systems supporting bonded warehouse operations.

Desired Attributes & Skills
- Strong practical understanding and ability to work independently
- Solid knowledge of Norwegian Customs Authority regulations
- Ability to adapt to change and contribute to continuous improvement


Experience & Qualifications
- Experience with customs clearance, preferably from freight forwarding or offshore‑related companies
- Minimum 5 years in offshore project work
- Minimum 3 years in Planning & Materials (P&M) or similar logistics functions
