Warehouse Coordinator

Position Overview

This position is based on-site at Vigra Spoolbase, Ålesund

The Warehouse Coordinator supports the Logistics Manager in developing efficient and safe logistics operations. Key focus areas include maintaining HSEQ‑compliant procedures, ensuring effective knowledge sharing, and driving continuous improvement.

 

Core Responsibilities

- Primary responsibility for Vigra Warehouse and goods reception.
- Receive, register, store and ship goods; deliver consumables to production and operations.
- Conduct stock counts according to Subsea7 procedures.
- Work closely with Senior Logistics Coordinator and base management.

 

HSSEQ & Compliance

- Promote and follow Subsea7 HSSEQ, Business Ethics and safety standards.
- Communicate safety expectations to subcontractors, visitors and internal personnel.

 

Operational Support

- Support quay operations and peak‑period activities when required.
- Register all incoming/outgoing goods and notify recipients; use Timpex Connect for bookings.
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with production and supervisors.

 

Inventory & Procurement

- Ensure all stock withdrawals are correctly cost‑allocated.
- Maintain SAP inventory levels and process purchases according to Subsea7 Norway procurement routines.
- Cooperate with SCM/purchasing for correct codes and ordering.

 

Equipment & Facilities

- Perform basic inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment and outdoor areas.
- Operate and check forklift daily; report service needs.
- Manage cardboard compactor and ensure correct disposal.
- Support handling at external storage areas (e.g., gym warehouse, quay warehouse).

 

Service & Collaboration

- Provide assistance to other departments when capacity allows.
- Conduct annual or requested inventory counts.
- Maintain a service-oriented and collaborative approach.


Key Success Factors

- Clear, effective communication across all base departments.
- Strong service mindset.
- Ability to build cooperative relationships with employees, subcontractors, client reps and visitors.

 

Safety Criticality

- Holds responsibilities under the Global Authorization and Regional Approval Matrices.
- Position is safety‑critical and requires full understanding and communication of Subsea7’s safety philosophy.

 

Required Skills & Attributes

- Fluent in Norwegian and English.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Mandatory SAP competence (SAP S4 HANA).
- Service-minded, respectful and proactive in improving efficiency.


Experience & Qualifications

- Experience in warehouse/goods reception operations.
- Solid IT skills, including SAP S4 HANA.
- Valid forklift certificate
