Subsea7 have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Planner to join our Offshore Delivery team on a full-time, staff basis.  This role will be based at our office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

 

Our Offshore Delivery team are a global service provider helping our project teams ensure the right people, vessels and equipment are in the right place at the right time with the right processes to do their job in a safe and compliant way.

 

As an Associate Planner, you’ll contribute to the efficient planning and optimisation of Subsea7’s vessel fleet, helping ensure assets are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You’ll bring an analytical approach, confidence working with a range of stakeholders, and a good grasp of scheduling best practice to support operational excellence across our projects.

What will you be doing?

 

  • Contributing to schedule optimisation of all assets managed via the Global Vessel Schedule (GVS), supporting requirements of Offshore Delivery/regional operations teams in the following areas:  Maximise vessel utilisation, Clash resolution, Capacity analysis, Support operational initiatives
  • Supporting the Offshore Delivery Team, Regional Operations Teams and Group Sales & Marketing with “what-if” scenarios to support strategic decision-making
  • Contributing to the generation of the Group Latest Thinking Forecast schedule on a monthly basis by supporting regional ‘clash resolution’ meetings and proposing ‘clash-free’ integrated schedule scenario
  • Supporting the transfer of execution data into onshore systems to enable dashboard development, project performance monitoring, and reporting
  • Contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and planning best practices (improving efficiency and reducing cost)
  • Supporting schedule development for Dry Docks, Maintenance & Repair (M&R), and Vessel Upgrades based on project complexity
  • Supporting the Data Governance Team in ensuring GVS data adheres to robust data governance standards

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Previous experience in integrated project scheduling, using tools such as MS Project (incl. MSP Online), Primavera P6, or similar software
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft apps (incl. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CoPilot)
  • Experience using Excel formulas, pivot tables and macros desirable
  • Good understanding of cost, schedule, and technical baseline execution within project planning
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders effectively
