Overview
Subsea7 are delighted to offer two exciting early career opportunities in the role of Associate Quantity Surveyor.
These two roles will join a newly formed team which will also include a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Applicants will have either recently qualified or already commenced their early career in a practical work environment.

Exposure to Civil or Construction / Heavy Engineering Projects, or relevant PQS experience, would be advantageous for early career applicants, but is not essential.
What will you be doing?
The roles sit within our Offshore Resources (OR) business unit alongside Supply Chain Management (SCM), Contracts and Chartering function.
Offshore Resources is responsible for providing, and ensuring the operational capability of, the vessels, equipment, crew and onshore support facilities that power Subsea7 projects and global offshore operations.
Role responsibilities will evolve alongside your experience and capability, which we’ll help you develop through in-role experience, training and mentorship.
Activities include Cost Estimation & Planning, Contract Management, Financial Management, Procurement, Project Delivery, Value Engineering. For example:
- Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor and other team members to manage high complexity / criticality products and services including, but not limited to, major CAPEX projects, vessel technical stops, modifications, upgrades, and dry dockings.
- Support some or all parts of projects from pre and post contract award. This includes cost advice and planning, managing contract documentation including tendering and contractual arrangements.
- Provide efficient, cost-effective and value-adding procurement and contract management support aligned with Company procedures.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying and/or early career work experience.
- Experience working in a similar role in the construction, marine, subsea or offshore sector.
- Commercial awareness, understands and/or experienced in contract and project management.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrates credibility and professionalism, has an ability to influence and negotiate.
- A collaborative worker who builds effective relationships across all levels of a highly diverse global business.
- Numeric, with an understanding of or experience in budget management.
