What will you be doing?

Subsea7 have an opportunity for a Communications Manager to join the Offshore Delivery team based in our Westhill, Aberdeen office on a contract basis for a period of 9 to 12 months.

 

Offshore Delivery are the internal, global service provider helping our project teams ensure the right people, vessels and equipment are in the right place at the right time with the right processes to do their job in a safe and compliant way.

 

This global role is responsible for implementing and delivering effective communications strategies across a complex, global audience group including office, operational worksites, and remote offshore crew. These strategies support operational objectives, while enhancing employee engagement.

 

This will be a highly varied role but some of the main responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the offshore communications team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Oversee and contribute to the development and production of informative and engaging internal communications materials and campaigns to promote and educate audiences on our business – translating strategic goals into clear engaging messaging.
  • Provision of communications business partnering advice and guidance.
  • This role is internally focused but also supports occasional external communication activities including emergency response and media relations guidance and support.
  • Align with Group Communications to support regional adoption and execution of employer brand (Being7) across the core HR employee messaging.
  • Support the Leadership team in preparation of internal and external high-level presentation material and content.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Either degree qualified in Communications or similar discipline or relevant previous experience working in marketing / PR / communications at supervisory or management level.
  • An effective manager with a positive approach who can engage a team through coaching and mentoring to continuously develop.
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present across all levels of stakeholders, up to and including senior management, both internal and external.
  • Had exposure or experience of working with global complex audiences, including remote workforces, across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Organised, with an ability to prioritise workload during periods of high volume, as well as conflicting and changing priorities.
