The scheme involves both on and off-the-job development, exposes graduates to a variety of engineering experiences and elements of project execution spanning through tendering, early engineering, detailed design, installation engineering to offshore execution.
As a Graduate Engineer with Subsea 7 you will be recruited into a post within either our Discipline or Project Engineering functions
Discipline Engineering: Discipline Engineers in Central Engineering deliver specific, detailed engineering design & analysis services to projects, studies and tenders across a range of specialisms. These include Pipeline design (rigid, flexibles, spools and bundle pipeline systems), Structures, Welding, Materials, Coating & Corrosion, Piping, Controls & Umbilicals, Geotechnical, Pre-commissioning, Hydrodynamics and Technical Safety. This engineering design and analysis support is provided to all aspects of the energy business. A Graduate in Central Engineering will typically specialise in one of these discipline subjects and become competent in a specific area of engineering design.
Project Engineering: Project Engineers are primarily responsible for the execution and delivery of a variety of projects across Subsea Umbilicals, Risers & Flowlines (SURF) and Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) services. The roles are embedded in a project team responsible for the planning and engineering of installation and operational activities. They are onshore based with the requirement to go offshore and to site.
Main Duties and Responsibilities typically include:
- Under supervision, assist with production of technical documentation which may include, design calculations, analysis, reports, specifications, procedures, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions
- Consolidate knowledge in areas of discipline engineering, including design codes and standards, legislative requirements and current best engineering practice
- Awareness of clients' needs; address design parameters and problems; develop and implement solutions
- Participate in meetings/correspondence with Clients, subcontractors and 3rd parties in a junior capacity

Our selection process is designed to be fair and inclusive. First, we’ll review applications against the essential job criteria. Top scorers will then have their CVs reviewed, and successful candidates will be invited to an assessment centre day in early December 2025.
