Title: Logistics Specialist

What will you be doing?
Subsea7 has an exciting new opportunity for a Logistics Specialist to support our Projects & Offshore Operations team on a 12 month fixed-term contract, supporting maternity leave.
In this role you’ll be responsible for ensuring our global projects have what they need, when and where they need it. You will play an integral part in the SCM process, working within our office based team at Westhill, alongside Buyers and other specialists, while supporting Project requirements.
Responsibilities include delivering time-critical solutions to each of our vessels, relevant to their work-scope, through collaborating with colleagues and third parties to achieve freight solutions which have all associated documentation to meet globally located Customs and compliance requirements.
- Develop Logistics models in support of Global activities/requirements/customs legislation.
- Be responsible for accuracy and timeliness of declarations for items such as dangerous or licensable goods.
- Be the contact point for various Freight & Logistics 3rd parties.
- Accurately maintain records and keep files for any goods that are bonded/require customs clearance.
- As required, issuance of documents and procedures to support tender deliverable related to OR SCM Logistics/Freight activities.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the Freight & Logistics activities.
- Support shipment of material and equipment from global locations to nominated vessels/worksites.
- Manage each shipping file including issuance of work orders, commercial invoices, verification of shipping documents and supplier invoices.
- Ensure all services are performed by nominated subcontractors as per the work orders.
- Ensure all tools and systems are updated with shipping status and relevant documentation.
- Support wider OR SCM with shipping and transportation planning, solutions and cost analysis
- Effective communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure regular communication with Logistics personnel in the region where project is executed.
- Compliance with customs and local laws at origin and destination locations.

- Experience in a similar position within global supply chain management Logistics.
- Knowledge of International Freight regulations and Ship Spares in Transit
- Proficient in MS Office, with a good working knowledge of SAP/SAP Ariba and INCOTERMS
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, maintains positive collaborative relationships at all levels across a multicultural global environment.
- Ability to work with detail and accuracy.
- Effective planning and organising skills, able to identify and effectively prioritise workload and successfully meet multiple, often competing deadlines.
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced 24/7 global business.
- Demonstrates initiative and ownership to deliver workload unsupervised while flexible to support wider team activities.
