What will you be doing?

Subsea7 has an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our Offshore Delivery team on a full-time, permanent basis based out of our Westhill, Aberdeen office.

 

The Offshore Delivery Planner will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining complex project and program schedules in alignment with Offshore Delivery requirements. This position is centered around a structured thought process, the capacity to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and an in-depth knowledge of scheduling practices to bolster efficiency, manage risks, and ensure operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project & Program Scheduling: Oversee the development, coordination, and maintenance of integrated project schedules for Offshore Delivery activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • MCO Schedule Validation: Ensure compliance with the Common Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS), validate NORMS and codes, and assess interdependencies, risks, and opportunities.
  • Asset Management: Contribute to schedule optimisation of all assets managed via the Global Vessel Schedule (GVS), supporting requirements of Offshore Delivery/regional operations teams in the following areas:
    • Maximise vessel utilisation
    • Clash resolution
    • Capacity analysis
    • Support operational initiatives 
    • Latest Thinking Forecast: Contribute to the generation of the Group Latest Thinking Forecast schedule on a monthly basis. 
  • Long-Term Forecasting: Manage and maintain the Pipeline Group (PG) Long-Term Forecast (LTF), incorporating latest thinking relating to fleet deployment. Plan and schedule meetings linked to the LTF, ensuring co-ordination of actions. Also responsible for aligning the LTF with the PG Integrated Schedule. 
  • Scenario Planning: Support Offshore Delivery Team, Regional Operations Teams and Group Sales & Marketing with “what-if” scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
  • Performance Data Integration: Support the transfer of task data into onshore systems to enable dashboard development, project performance monitoring, and reporting.
  • Vessel Scheduling, Analysis & Risk Management: Support Vessel Operations Managers to optimise schedules, conduct trend, variance and impact analyses, identifying risks and opportunities while supporting development of mitigation plans.
  • Production Constraints & Lead Time Management: Identify and address constraints that affect operations, promoting alignment between production and operations schedules.   
  • Dry Docks, M&R, and Vessel Upgrades: Support schedule development for Dry Docks, Maintenance & Repair (M&R), and Vessel Upgrades based on project complexity.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Relevant experience in integrated project scheduling, using tools such as MS Project (Incl. MSP Online), Primavera P6, or similar software.
  • Extensive knowledge of incorporating schedules from suppliers and partners into an overarching Master Program Schedule.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cost, schedule, and technical baseline delivery within project planning.
  • Ability to allocate time efficiently and collaborate in a constantly evolving, forward-thinking environment.
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders effectively.
