Overview

We are seeking a skilled Power Platform Developer to join our Microsoft 365 Solutions team on a full-time, staff basis. Based out of our office in Westhill, Aberdeen, the Power Platform Developer will play a critical role in gathering requirements, designing apps, building canvas and model-driven apps (including Dataverse design and security), and providing documentation and handover.

What will you be doing?

The primary focus of the Power Platform Developer will be on the development and support of solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform. 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyse requirements to design effective Power Platform solutions.
  • Develop and build canvas and model-driven apps, including Dataverse design and security.
  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials for Power Platform solutions.
  • Ensure smooth handover of developed solutions to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Power Platform applications and integrations, escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the M365 Solutions Manager, the M365 Solutions Team, and the wider IT department to enhance the performance and security of the Power Platform environment.
  • Participate in the testing and evaluation of new Power Platform features and updates, providing feedback and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the governance and security of the Power Platform, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Essential 

  • Higher education certification in a Computing related course (HND, BSC, etc.) or qualified by relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, app design, and development within the Power Platform.
  • Technical proficiency in Power Platform tools, including canvas and model-driven apps, Dataverse design and security.
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft 365 platforms and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and users.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
     

Desirable

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications in Power Platform and related technologies.
  • Experience with Copilot Studio and agents.
  • Experience with AI Builder and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Experience in development and support of solutions on Office 365 and Azure platforms.
