Title: Senior Accountant - Group Reporting

Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Group Reporting Team as a Group Reporting Senior Accountant. This is a 12-month maternity cover role that offers a dynamic and varied experience, with excellent prospects for professional growth and career development.
In this role, you will work closely with the Deputy Group Reporting Manager to oversee and enhance key financial processes. Your responsibilities will include managing and reviewing the Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE) process, leading the monthly Group consolidation, and delivering high-quality quarterly reporting outputs. You will also play a central role in driving improvements in our COSA framework and take the lead on Group COSA reporting.

What will you be doing?
- Responsible for effective management of the Group’s PPE process including the final stages of the associated S4 integration
- Management and review of the Group’s Consolidated Financial Statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Analysis of the Group’s Consolidated Income Statement and Balance Sheet, with particular focus on working capital management and foreign exchange
- Development and support of junior members of the Group Reporting Team
- Identifying and driving process improvements
- Responsible for collation and reporting of the Group’s COSA results to senior management including implementation of the required amendments to controls
- Liaise with internal and external auditors

Knowledge
- Qualified accountant with post qualification experience
- Good understanding of IFRS
- Knowledge related to preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements
- Competence in the use of Microsoft packages
- SAP and Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BFC) knowledge
- An understanding and awareness of standard control processes typically applied to accounting processes
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively – both written and verbally
- Proactive and diligent with strong organisational skills and a self-checking approach to work output
- Experience of working in a team
- The ability to work collaboratively on a cross-functional basis and implement change effectively
- Candidates should have the ability to manage their own workload and must be able to work to deadlines.
