Title: Senior SCM Specialist

What will you be doing?
Subsea7 are recruiting for an Senior SCM Specialist to join our Offshore Delivery team on a staff basis. The Senior SCM Specialist will be responsible for the effective management of all third-party procurement and services. This includes sourcing, supplier management, procurement of goods and services, expediting, logistics, and warehousing. Additionally, the Senior SCM Specialist will be operationally accountable for a defined section of the Offshore Delivery supply chain team.
- Manage the process from identification of suppliers, request for quotations, negotiation, and final award of Purchase Orders (POs) for equipment, parts, consumables, services, and provisions
- Ensure the optimum commercial and contractual position for Subsea 7 is achieved and maintained in delivering standard SCM activities (pre and post award) independently
- Expedite POs to ensure delivery dates are met and resolve any supply issues, ensuring SAP is updated accordingly
- Plan and execute forwarding and expediting strategies to ensure timely arrival of goods and services without undue delay or penalty with clearance
- Proactively monitor and manage workload for the defined section of the OR SCM team and ensure weekly KPIs are consistently achieved 1
- Actively contribute towards the OR SCM annual cost-saving targets, challenging supplier costs wherever possible and negotiating the best commercial deal for Subsea7
- Support the OR SCM Lead and proactively contribute to SCM initiatives and objectives to achieve these targets
- Mentor, coach, and support other members of the OR SCM team
- Participate and conduct tasks as required to pre-qualify suppliers to the Company’s Supplier Management System (SMS), with particular emphasis on purchasing activities
- Complete supplier performance assessments within the SMS where necessary for purchasing commitments
- Work within cross-functional teams to engage with vendors on cost improvement and create better value and performance
- Proactively support internal clients such as vessel teams, ROV, and project teams with the performance of assigned SCM activities
- Operate within standardized OR SCM policies, processes, and systems and leverage the systems side to support the provision of relevant and quality metrics 2
- Support and proactively contribute to the effective utilization of SCM and Company systems (e.g., SAP, SMS, and SharePoint) to effectively deliver SCM activities and promote knowledge sharing 3
- Ensure SCM capitalizes on lessons learned and SCM activities are performed in consideration of best practices, striving to mitigate risk and consistently promote Company core values 4
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., HSEQ, Contracts, Finance, and Engineering) to ensure cross-functional delivery of SCM activity
What experience would we like you to have?
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related area
- Good knowledge of SCM processes, policies, and systems
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in SAP and other SCM-related software
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of achieving cost-saving targets and optimizing supplier performance
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members
