Overview

Subsea7 is hiring a Finance Lead  responsible for coordinating the day-to-day finance activities across five legal entities in the UAE, Qatar and Singapore, ensuring accurate financial reporting and high-quality accounting in accordance with IFRS, local GAAP and Group accounting policies.Working closely with the Finance Manager, this role supports the delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements while acting as the key liaison between the Finance Manager, the local accounting team, the KSA Finance Lead and Group Finance. The role offers operational guidance across the entities, improving processes, ensuring finance activities run efficiently, deadlines are met, and accounting practices stay consistent.The Finance Lead also acts as deputy to the Finance Manager, coordinating finance activities across the region, supporting local business initiatives and overseeing continuous improvement within the finance function.

What will you be doing?

 

General Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary local finance contact and coordinate the day-to-day finance activities across five legal entities in the UAE, Qatar and Singapore.
  • Manage the day-to-day financial activities across the entities within scope, ensuring accurate accounting, effective cash flow forecasting, capital expenditure management, compliance with local statutory requirements and Group policies, and the timely delivery of financial reporting.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and technical support to the assigned accountant, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Act as deputy to the Finance Manager, providing operational leadership, coordinating regional finance activities, setting priorities across the team and maintaining operational continuity across the legal entities.
  • Support the implementation of local regulatory and business initiatives, including new accounting requirements, e-invoicing and other statutory or operational changes impacting the entities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Legal, Supply Chain, HR, Treasury, Tax, Project Controls and operational teams to support business activities and resolve finance-related matters.
  • Identify risks, recommend practical solutions and support continuous improvements to finance processes and internal controls.

What experience would we like you to have?

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in accounting or finance within an international and multicultural environment.
  • Management / Supervisory experience in international environment
  • Previous experience working within the Energy or EPC industry.
  • Experience working with cross-functional finance teams and shared service centre
