What will you be doing?

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Graduate Planning Engineer is responsible for the provision of planning functions for GPC-EAST relative to Projects and Tenders including baseline set-up, updates, progress reporting and monitoring, forecasting, and interfacing with other disciplines.
You will be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance and support your progression. The mentor will maintain regular contact with you providing direction to help you achieve targets and goals. A Training Plan will provide you the opportunity to gain deeper insights of some key aspects related to planning and Project/Tender Support functions.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES 

•    Run all planning functions on the Project and Tender, in accordance with the client and Subsea7 Planning procedures
•    Propose project and Tender specific procedures including work breakdown structure and progress measurement methods in accordance with company requirements
•    Organize flow of planning and progress information with internal and external sources
•    Development and maintenance of the baseline schedule for the company’s approval including planned progress s-curves and reporting formats
•    Prepare progress reports in a timely fashion including a statement of critical paths and deviations against approved baseline
•    Prepare forecast schedules based on actual project status and anticipated evolutions
•    Prepare specific schedules and what-if simulations
•    Ensure that changes are taken into consideration and be proactive in early identification of deviations and corrective actions
•    Create resourced planning and consolidated Operation projects schedule
•    Actively reporting KPIs and monitor projects performances
•    Participate to improve process and procedures for Schedule and reporting progress
•    Keep record of changes made to schedules through various revisions
•    Propose reporting or management tool in addition to the planning (convergence plan, roadmap, …)
 

What experience would we like you to have?

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

•    Degree in engineering and administrative discipline 
•    Experience in Software Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
•    Experience in oil & gas, subsea or general construction preferred.
•    Experience on projects as a planning engineer Less than 3 years – Graduate & Junior profiles accepted.

Skills
•    Knowledge in key areas of planning and engineering practice
•    Good analysis capability
•    Independently evaluate, organize and prioritize work for self and others
•    Good level of communication and proficiency in English (Spoken & Written) 

Knowledge    
•    Understanding of the Offshore Oil and Gas industry 
•    Knowledge of onshore steel construction
