Embark on an exciting career journey with Subsea7 as a Graduate in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). This full-time staff role is based in Saudi Arabia and forms part of our two-year development programme, designed to immerse you in the dynamic world of offshore engineering.

  • The HSE Graduate shall assist with the development and implementation of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of Subsea7’ and Clients overall HSE strategies.
  • The HSE Graduate shall provide full assistance and support to designated areas of the business including Projects and to the function (HSE), as required.
  • All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ Culture within Subsea7 and ensuring familiarity with, and adherence to local / legal HSEQ Codes & Practices along with applicable Client requirements.
  • All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity and adherence to our ‘Code of Conduct’ and full understanding and compliance to our ‘Values’.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads a positive HSE culture and behaviours across Subsea7 and particularly within their sphere of influence
  • Champion the Subsea7 Key HSE related Programmes, setting the tone and leading by example
  • Ensures compliance to all HSE Policies, Processes and Procedures
  • Proactively engages with the team including the Projects and Management including the workforce to ensure alignment of the business goals
  • Shall learn and develop skills to be responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the function’s and Project’s activities within the designated area of responsibility
  • Shall complete tasks / activities as per developed HSE Activity Plan / Competency Development Plan, as applicable
  • Shall assist with the development and / or review of specific HSE Plans and Procedures accordingly for the Project and function, as required
  • Supports the implementation of the operational elements of the HSE strategy as well as support specific HSE activities (Office / Worksite)
  • Assist, provide input to budget costs and supporting the team in preparation of annual budget submissions, as applicable
  • Develops skills to liaise with Project Management Team representatives and Client representatives on Environmental focus areas (including
  • Health & Safety) matters when required and proactively participates in relevant HSE forums, activities, etc.
  • Assists ensure all Project activities meet the relevant HSE regulatory requirements, Client’s requirements, and Project specific HSE requirements
  • Assists ensure the effective management and oversight of subcontractor / supplier management in line with overall relevant HSE requirements (Pre-Qualification through to Service Execution, conclusion)
  • Familiarization and development in the response to emergencies and HSE incidents including investigations
  • Familiarization with setting Key Performance Indicators and Objectives & Targets in line with Subsea7 and Clients, as applicable
  • Familiarization with Synergi Case Upload, Monitoring (Project / Function) and liaison cross-functionally to ensure timely close out of identified case actions including other HSE related administrative requirements.
  • Completes all assigned HSE related internal trainings accordingly.

 

PROJECT SCOPE

The HSE Graduate shall be assigned to an ongoing Client (Saudi Aramco) CRPO Project and where required provide full support to other areas in Subsea7 and other Clients, as and when required.

 

CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

  • Have a general understanding of region specific HSE focus areas.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.) Skills
  • Possesses strong communication and coordination skills
  • Is a Team Player who works well under pressure and under minimum supervision
  • A ‘self-starter’ who shows a strong passion for HSE
  • Passionate about continuously developing and learning.

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Be passionate about learning and gaining experience to work within the subsea offshore or related industry
  • Be keen to develop skills to develop in order to be able to directly interface between our Clients, Contractors, Suppliers, Project Team Members and the Workforce

 

Qualifications

  • Degree / Academic / Vocational Qualification in an HSE related discipline
  • Membership of a recognized HSE professional body (IOSH, CSP, etc.) shall be an advantage
  • Hold relevant HSE Certification (NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor, etc.) is an advantage.
