What will you be doing?

 

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

Subsea7 is hiring Logistics Coordinator that will coordinate and facilitate the movement of marine fleet, vessels, equipment, and materials import/export scopes in KSA. Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of Subsea7 processes related to logistics while being knowledgeable for the specifics associated with operating in the Middle East.

The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Logistics Lead. The function is embedded in the KSA.

The Logistics Coordinator is expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

•    Liaise with agents, authorities as and when required for the logistics activities.
•    Liaise with operations team, marine agents for the clearance of marine fleet, materials, and equipment.
•    Follow-up all vessel movements, check and ensure all documents required are in place for inward & Outward clearance and communicated to agents/authorities in due time prior to arrival / departure of vessels.
•    Ensure the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of Logistics support for the project activities.
•    Coordinate and support Finance Department / Management for liaison with ZATCA / Authorities.
•    Regularly monitor regional changes in shipping/Customs laws and keep informed all concerned.    
•    Maintain and update database in shared folder of vessels/cargo’s movement, documents of mobilization and demobilization records.  
•    Necessary support to ad-hoc request/assistance.
•    Perform any other Logistics activities as and when assigned by the line manager.

What experience would we like you to have?

 

Key Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Logistics and international trade or 5 yrs Experience in similar role.
•    Relevant experience in Oil & Gas Business within logistics.
•    Effective interpersonal and communication skills and accurate reporting, both written and verbal. 
•    Fluent in English preferable.
•    Knowledge and understanding of Import / Export Compliance and local customs & Excise regulations.
•    Conversant with Microsoft Office. 

 

Personal Skills

•    Clear understanding of the industry processes and knowledge of how to handle common obstructions with clear solutions.
•    Able to do multi-tasking.
•    Able to work independently or with minimum supervision.
•    Ability to perform well under pressure to meet up deadlines.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to collaborate in multi-cultural environment.
•    Flexible with regards to travel and work in different location if required.
