What will you be doing?
Subsea7 is hiring a Market Intelligence Specialist to join our Sales & Marketing team in Middle East based in Saudi Arabia.
The Market Intelligence Specialist will report to the Market Analysis & Business Planning Manager, who is part of the GPC East Sales & Marketing Direction.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Market Intelligence Specialist is at the forefront of Subsea 7’s business activity, they create, manage and communicate business insights gained by synthesizing data from multiple sources.
The successful candidate will employ the latest quantitative and analytical techniques, gather all available financial, marketing, sales, operational, social media and promotional data, develop cutting-edge business insights, to enhance the performance of the business (from
Business and Field Development to Tendering) and support the construction of the regional future business strategy.
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
• Operate within standardized Sales & Marketing policies, processes and systems
• Support the development and dissemination of market intelligence across the business
• Support Country Management, Business Development and Tendering with relevant market, country and client presentations
• Support investigation of new and emerging markets
• Support senior management with relevant market and strategy presentations, including Annual Strategy Book
• Benchmark internal data with external market research and provide variation analyses
• Internally manage the technical part of the CRM tool (Client 365) (including training, testing, proposing improvements, etc.) and monitor the CRM database with a focus on data quality and integrity
• Track, investigate and register the financial and operational performance of peer competitors (competitor analysis)
• Automate commercial reporting using powerBI and creating dashboards for stakeholders
• Develop and ensure the delivery of the Bi-Annual 5 Year & Budget Plan and subsequent monthly forecast and reporting
• Work closely with Finance and Project departments to ensure alignment on finance and Global Vessel Schedule forecasting
• Support the Technology Function with specific Market intelligence
• Maintain a team site on SharePoint
What experience would we like you to have?
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Engineering combined with a passion for data management and a commercial business interest.
• 5-6 years working experience within a complex market environment.
• Excellent command of English.
• Technical Skills: Microsoft 365, PowerBi , Excel Super user
• Able to prepare high quality, engaging presentations and reports suitable for a senior audience review
• Proficient communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
• Proactive mindset
• Able to seek and obtain information from diverse sources
• Operating with the highest standard of integrity, preserving the confidentiality of the information available with the role
• Able to adapt to changes in an environment of continuous improvements
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools (especially Microsoft Excel)
• Advanced user of data management and data visualisation tools (PowerBI)
• Ability to drive work independently
