Title: Technical Superintendent

What will you be doing?
Subsea7 is hiring an Onshore Technical Superintendent who will be responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of all onshore works associated with onshore and offshore pipeline landfall and beach pull operations, including the supervision of the Onshore Subcontractor.
The role ensures that all onshore pipeline construction activities are performed safely, in full compliance with Saudi Aramco and Subsea7 standards, project specifications, approved method statements, and interface requirements with offshore installation activities when applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Onshore Construction Supervision
• Supervise and control all onshore pipeline construction activities related to landfall works, beach pull preparation, and associated civil works.
• Ensure site readiness for offshore pipeline pull-in, including access roads, working platforms, laydown areas, and temporary facilities.
• Oversee land reclamation, earthworks, grading, compaction, and shoreline stabilization activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, approved method statements, and Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, GI).
Beach Pull & Landfall Preparation
• Coordinate preparation of beach pull corridors, winch pads, anchor foundations, roller beds, and temporary supports.
• Verify alignment, elevations, and tolerances for the landfall and pull-in corridor.
• Ensure readiness of onshore equipment prior to offshore pipeline pull-in.
• Support offshore teams during pull-in operations.
Subcontractor Management
• Act as primary onshore focal point for subcontractors executing pipeline and civil works.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with scope, schedule, method statements, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, productivity, and progress.
Interface & Coordination
• Interface with Offshore Superintendent, Marine Spread, and Onshore Pipeline Installation Contractor.
• Interface with all parties for Work Permit, as for onshore permit will be involved:
- WPR from Subcontractor.
- WPI from SA inside the fence.
- Permit from Cost Guard and Facilities security.
• Coordinate with Engineering, HSE, QA/QC, and environmental teams.
• Participate in coordination meetings, SIMOPS reviews, and inspections with Aramco representatives.
HSE Leadership
• Enforce Saudi Aramco HSE requirements.
• Ensure implementation of JSA, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work.
• Lead toolbox talks and ensure SIMOPS compliance.
Quality Control & Compliance
• Ensure works meet quality requirements and Aramco standards.
• Support inspections, punch listing, and as-built documentation.
Planning & Reporting
• Provide input to construction planning and look-ahead schedules.
• Track daily progress and report to Construction Management.
• Support readiness reviews for critical operations.
• Review and approval of Daily Progress Reports.
• Review and Approval of Subcontractor time sheets.
• Review and Validation of any 3rd party Subcontractor claims.
What experience would we like you to have?
Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 10- 15 years’ experience in pipeline construction with landfall and beach pull operations.
• Previous Saudi Aramco project experience in the Middle Region is mandatory
• Strong subcontractor management and interface coordination experience.
• Good knowledge of logistic rules and principles, customs and importation/exportation laws in KSA
• Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
• Good ability to synthesize information, challenging execution Plan.
• Communication & organisational skills.
• Capacity to adapt quickly to changing situations.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills.
• Excellent communication with Aramco, PMC, and subcontractors.
• Strong HSE and SIMOPS awareness.
• Ability to work under schedule-driven conditions.
