Join a global leader in offshore energy as we expand our Quality team in Baku, Azerbaijan.  We are hiring a Quality Team Lead on a full-time, contract basis to join our UK & Global IRM division for an initial period of 12 months.

 

You will act as focal point for Quality matters for the country whilst also collaborating with the wider HSEQ regional team to support delivery of HSEQ strategy and ways of working. You will ensure the quality delivery of the projects the team are working on. 

 

Our UK & Global IRM division are the team responsible for the practical execution and delivery of a variety of IRM and Construction Projects across the world. They work with a variety of projects, ranging from IRM (Inspection, Repair and Maintenance) work to large EPIC projects, including working with our Bundles Pipeline technology. 

 

What will you be doing?

This will be a varied role but some of the main responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure Subsea7 Group vision, and Group and regional business and HSEQ strategies, are understood by the Quality team and incorporated within all Project level plans 
  • Support the UKGIRM Quality Manager to monitor and report country Quality performance against targets
  • Develop and lead improvement plans, and support Project plans as required 
  • Support the UKGIRM Quality Manager with the management and delivery of the Quality Audit programme for Baku  
  • Support the development and issuance of Quality alerts from regional incidents and near misses, Non-conformances, Supplier Performance Issues or Internal Quality Failures 
  • Liaise with SCM to ensure Quality support to supplier assessments, audits and performance reviews as required outwith Project support 
  • Actively support external audits including third party certification and client audits 
  • Actively support the participation of Quality Advisors in Project Risks and Opportunities Management as required and facilitate improvements in the efficacy of PROM 
  • Liaise with other stakeholders to ensure knowledge transfer and maximise value from project, client and supplier lessons learned sessions 
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to continually improve the effectiveness of ways of working and help drive improvement in common systems and processes

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Degree qualified in a relevant area (or equivalent experience) 
  • Member of Chartered Quality Institute or working towards 
  • Lead auditor experience in Safety and Quality 
  • Previous Quality experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or wider energy industry including working knowledge of EPIC Projects and operations 
  • Experience of design review and civil construction of industrial building
  • Good technical background including quality management system, risk management, auditing and management of change 
  • Good understanding of Quality related international standards 
  • Previous experience working with suppliers of goods and services to ensure delivery of such to agreed technical and legislative requirements 
  • Knowledge of Azerbaijan codes and standards and Safety Regulations  
  • Flexible approach to business related travel is essential and hold a current driving licence
