Join a global leader in offshore energy as we expand our team in Baku, Azerbaijan.  We are hiring a Senior Planner on a full-time, contract basis to join our UK & Global IRM division for an initial period of 12 months.

 

As a Senior Planner you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and follow-up of all planning activities within projects, ensuring systems, processes and reporting requirements for both internal and external clients are met by adherence to Subsea 7 planning procedures. In addition to being technically sound in planning principles, scope comprehension is essential for success.

 

Our UK & Global IRM division are the team responsible for the practical execution and delivery of a variety of IRM and Construction Projects across the world. They work with a variety of projects, ranging from IRM (Inspection, Repair and Maintenance) work to large EPIC projects, including working with our Bundles Pipeline technology. 

 

What will you be doing?

This will be a highly varied role and some of the main responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Establishing good communication channels with project teams
  • Development of project specific procedures including work breakdown structure and progress measurement methods in accordance with Subsea 7 and client requirements
  • Development of plans and schedules for various phases of project execution with the input from project team members and Subsea 7 support functions
  • Development of Baseline Schedules (incl. basis of schedule documentation, schedule weighting, s-curves and critical path analysis)
  • Progressing of Contract Master Schedules (incl. s-curves, critical path analysis and progress analysis)
  • Implementation of reporting routines for sub-contractors and interrogation / challenge of sub-contractor schedules (incl. participation in weekly calls to discuss progress, slippage and recovery plans where necessary)
  • Delivery of timely updates to schedules and issue of reports to relevant disciplines, management and client (on a weekly/monthly basis)
  • Develop engineering schedules with monitoring of deliverable progress
  • Develop site construction and vessel installation schedules
  • Performing baseline revisions
  • Producing scenario schedules

 

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Applicable degree level qualification although relevant experience will be considered
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Microsoft Packages 
  • Previous planning experience within the oil & gas industry
  • Experience in large scale construction projects is preferable
  • Experience in subsea planning is desirable
  • Good organisational skills (incl. planning & prioritising own workload)
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and seek out information
