Subsea7 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Team Lead to join our Cairo office on a full-time staff basis. We’re looking for a proactive leader with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for driving financial excellence in a global engineering environment.

What will you be doing?

 Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Submission of budgets and monthly forecasts on reporting system.
  • Prepare annual and monthly cash expenditures forecast.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare accurate annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS), and internal policies.
  • Manage the audit process with external/internal auditors,submit audit requests, and follow up on closing reports
  • Coordinate with tax auditors and ensure smooth statutory and tax audits.
  • Ensure compliance with the Freezone authority’s submissions and regulations.

Accounting Management  

  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Leases, expenses and Payroll.  
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain an accurate chart of accounts and ensure proper journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Implement accounting policies, branch procedures, and internal controls in accordance with the Company’s global policies and procedures
  • Manage, monitor and ensure compliance with taxation (withholding tax, VAT exemptions, Salary tax), Contractors’ social insurance, manpower fund, healthcare contribution and other regulatory filings.
  • Manage and ensure accurate submission of customers’ e-invoices on the tax portal.

Prepare Intercompany invoices, and review Intercompany transactions to ensure accurate allocations and compliance with the country’s tax scheme.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team.
  • Collaborate with different internal stakeholders and branches.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

What experience would we like you to have?

Qualifications

  • Educated to higher level (degree or equivalent) in Finance or another business-related subject.
  • Professional qualification desired, or working towards
  • Good IT literacy with an emphasis on proficient/intermediate use of excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and articulately at all levels, demonstrating enhanced analytical skills and effective forward planning.
  • Experience of SAP systems (S4 Hana if possible)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with oil and gas EPC company
