What will you be doing?
The HSE Manager acts as the focal point for ALL designated Projects and Regional Office HSE Management Matters. They shall provide a support function to Country Management and Project Management, ensuring adequate HSE input and provide a mentoring role to the HSE Advisors.
They shall be responsible for providing support, advice and guidance to designated areas of the business including Projects and to the HSE function, as required.
They contribute to the development and implementation of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of Subsea 7’s, and its applicable Clients, overall HSSE strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the function’s and Project’s activities within the designated area of responsibility.
- Coordinates the compilation of HSSE Performance Statistics and records for publication including carrying out trend analysis reviews.
- Responsible for the development of specific HSSE Plans and Procedures accordingly for the Project, Regional Office and function, as required.
- Supports the implementation of the operational elements of the HSSE strategy as well as support specific HSSE activities.
- Interface with colleagues in HSSE to coordinate the local HSSE services and provide advice.
- Analyses budget costs and supports the team in preparation of annual budget submissions, as applicable.
- In liaison with Project HSE Managers the candidate may be requested to liaise with in-country Client representatives on HSSE matters and participates in relevant Client HSSE forums.
- Ensure all Projects and Regional Office activities meet HSE regulatory requirements, Client’s requirements, and Project specific HSE requirements
- Ensures the effective management and oversight of subcontractor / supplier activities in line with overall relevant HSSE requirements including ensuring proper pre-qualifications and reviews are completed prior to engagement in line with the Subsea7 SCM requirements.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Relevant previous experience (Minimum 10 Years) at an appropriate level ideally working within the HSE sector for Oil & Gas Marine Offshore Construction, etc.)
- Have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Degree/Academic Qualification in an HSE related discipline.
- Regional experience working within the subsea offshore or related industry, some of which must be in a dedicated HSE Marine Offshore Oil & Gas Construction position.
- Regional experience of directly interfacing between clients, contractors, suppliers, project team members and the workforce.
- Membership of a recognized HSE professional body (IOSH, CSP, etc.);
- Hold relevant HSE Certification (NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH or equivalent).
- Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).
- ISO 45001, ISO 14001 (IRCA Certified).
- Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.) Skills.
- Possesses strong communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to project worksites onshore and offshore.
