We have a newly created opportunity to support our Logistics team in Cairo on a temporary basis. This role will support the Mina West project until December 2026 and will operate via third party.

 

The Offshore Personnel Logistician (OPL) will be based in Cairo with potential travel to project sites across Egypt and is essential for the seamless execution of project scopes.

What will you be doing?

 

The OPL is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end crew mobilization and demobilization process, from arrival through all transit stages to vessel sign-on, as well as ensuring the safe departure of off-signing personnel. Acting as the central point of contact for crew logistics, the role ensures all movements are efficiently coordinated, accurately tracked, and aligned with project requirements through close collaboration with crewing teams and marine agents.

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Understanding of the Offshore Oil and gas Industry including the processes required to mobilize and travel personnel to international offshore worksites (transportation, visa, work permit, hotel bookings etc.).
  • Managing and following up crew changes with our marine agent (by sea or by chopper) including (visa / immigration, hotel booking, transportation, chopper arrangements with coordination with the agent.
  • Liaising with onshore and offshore crewing team / vessel team to plan and agree personnel movements, crew changes, and engage with them to manage crew personnel planned to their specific worksite.
  • Supporting coast guard & G26 permits issuance request to company and following up with agent to receive on time for visitors of port. 
  • Managing Crew movement of sign on & sign off for all personnel of Subsea7, Client & 3rd party on Subsea7 or 3rd party vessels working on the project. Updating and maintaining the tracker as required.
  • Transportation arrangements for all project personal movement inside Egypt if required by the project.
  • All agent requests must be issued as call-off and logged in to the Register. This ensures comprehensive activity tracking and accurate cost follow-up.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for Crew movement activities for vessel(s).
  • There is a requirement for on call duty depending on business needs.
  • Provide general administrative support within the Crewing Team as required.

 

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Graduate / Diploma holder or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar operational logistics role
  • Proficient IT skills with Intermediate knowledge of SAP and Microsoft 365 products
  • Availability to work extended hours on occasion to support business operations.
  • Thrives during busy periods, delivering results within challenging deadlines.
  • Proactive in responding to and supporting operational demands.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to contribute effectively in a cross-cultural management environment.
  • The role may require ad hoc travel so candidates should be flexible and available to undertake this as required.
  • Able to work on own initiative in remote locations if required.
