The title referenced above corresponds to the role of Procurement Quality Control Supervisor (PQCS). This position is responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the effective management of quality assurance processes. The PQCS ensures the delivery of quality management and continuous improvement initiatives across projects and functions within the designated procurement scope. Two PQCS roles are required: one specializing in Mechanical, and the other in Electrical & Instrumentation.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure compliance with all Quality policy, process, and procedures.
- Support business improvement such that it is active in every part of Subsea 7's business.
- In-depth knowledge of Aramco’s standards and subsea scope material procurement.
- Review MR, RFQ, TBE, and purchase orders for compliance with Aramco’s quality standards and contract requirements.
- Assist procurement team in evaluating and addressing project quality requirements that are identified in invitations to bid.
- Identifying risk related to Procurement Quality inspection.
- Ensure all project personnel are aware of the Quality requirements, quality inductions completed and organise training sessions as needed.
- Preparation of inspection assignment packages (IAPs) in line with Schedule Q requirements.
- Utilise the knowledge management tools available to assist Quality to capitalise from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
- Ensure project quality requirements compliance for procurement phase of the project and effective implementation of the project quality management system.
- Coordination, preparation, establishment and implementation of the Project Quality procedures.
- Arranging Vendor Pre-Inspection Meetings & Kick off Meetings.
- Preparation of audit plan & focus assessment.
- Monitoring Procurement Inspection status.
- Assess Subcontractors and Vendors capability to meet the Quality requirements of the Project.
- Coordinate with COMPANY regarding procurement quality related activities.
- TPI management for inspection activities at vendor premisses.
- Appraises product quality in accordance with the Purchase Orders, Purchase Requisitions, Technical Specifications, Drawings and Quality Plans.
- Review of Manufacturing Data book after completion of purchase order.
- Ontime submission of deliverables (such as IFSR, IR, IRNs and IDRs) to the client.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as per project requirements.
- Identify non-quality trends and advise Project Quality Manager for resolution.
- Establish effective corrective, corrective action/preventive action plan to ensure that deficiencies do not re-occur.
- Ensure lessons identified and recorded for Internal Quality Failures and Supplier performance issues.
- Record project Lessons identified for procurement activities.
- Support cost control team with supporting documentation for invoicing purposes.
- Drive the One team approach on project and cross function.

What experience would we like you to have?
- Have a minimum of 7 years overall experience and 5 years as a PQCS.
- Supervisory experience of projects related to EPC Oil and Gas production, petrochemical projects
- Documented auditing experience as Lead Auditor
- Capable of handling minimum 10 nos Third party vendor inspector
- Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
- Familiar with MS Office
- Understanding of welding, NDT, coating and Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Good understanding of supply chain management principals.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Understanding of Subsea products and operations.
- Experience of working within the subsea offshore or related industry, some of which must be in a dedicated PQCS position.
- Experience with directly interfacing between clients, contractors, suppliers, project team members.
Qualifications
- A diploma / degree / qualification in Engineering / Quality Management.
- Internationally accredited (i.e. IRCA or ASQ) Quality auditor training course and examination for ISO 9001 latest version.
