What will you be doing?

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION


The above capsule title is equivalent to title Quality Control Supervisor E & I who provides guidance and advice regarding the effective management of quality assurance, delivering quality management and improvement support to the projects and Functions within the designated area of responsibility related to procurement activity.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support business improvement such that it is active in every part of Subsea 7's business.
• Ensure all project personnel are aware of the Quality requirements; quality inductions completed and organise training sessions as needed.
• Utilise the knowledge management tools available to assist Quality to capitalise from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
• Manpower management of Vendor inspectors and QC Inspectors.
• Ensure project quality requirements compliance for procurement and construction phase of the project and effective implementation of the project quality management system.
• Coordination, preparation, establishment and implementation of the Project Quality procedures.
• Review of procurement and construction related documents (RFQ, PR, TBE, etc.).
• Preparation and review of procedure related to construction and offshore installation.
• Assess Subcontractors and Vendors capability to meet the Quality requirements of the Project.
• Coordinate with COMPANY regarding procurement and construction related activities.
• TPI management for inspection activities at vendor and subcontractor premisses.
• Appraises product quality in accordance with the Purchase Orders, Purchase Requisitions, Technical Specifications, drawings and Quality Plans.
• Review of Manufacturing Data book after completion of purchase order.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports as per project requirements.
• Identify non-quality trends and advise Project Quality Manager for resolution.
• Establish effective corrective, preventive measures and corrective action plan to ensure that deficiencies do not re-occur.
• Ensure lessons identified and recorded for Internal Quality Failures and Supplier performance issues.
• Record project Lessons identified for procurement activities.
• Support cost control team with supporting documentation for invoicing purposes.
• Supporting offshore activity related to E & I by visiting to offshore vessels.
• Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards. He shall also have working knowledge of electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
• Familiar with the international Industry Codes and Standards related to Intrinsically Safe Systems and Electrical Systems for Instrumentation such as; ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12., ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2, NFPA 70/NEC and UL 94.

 

What experience would we like you to have?

 

CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
• Have a minimum of 10 years overall experience in the field of procurement and construction.
• Supervisory experience of projects related to EPC Oil and Gas production, petrochemical projects not less than 7 years.
• Documented auditing experience as Lead Auditor
• Capable of handling minimum 10 nos Third party vendor inspector
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
• Familiar with MS Office
• Understanding of welding, NDT, coating and Electrical and Instrumentation.
• Good understanding of supply chain management principals.

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
• Understanding of Subsea products and operations.
• Experience of working within the subsea offshore or related industry, some of which must be in a dedicated PQCS position.
• Experience with directly interfacing between clients, contractors, suppliers, project team members.

 

Qualification
• A diploma / degree / qualification in Engineering / Quality Management.
• Internationally accredited (i.e. IRCA or ASQ) Quality auditor training course and examination for ISO 9001 latest version.
