Title: SCM Assistant

The SCM Assistant supports the Project Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in delivering procurement activities for oil & gas projects, with a focus on Aramco-specific requirements. Reporting to the Project SCM Manager, the role involves preparing procurement plans, execution strategies, expediting reports, and key documentation such as Bidders’ Lists, ROAs, and Unpriced POs.
The SCM Assistant contributes to the local SCM strategy, driving cost efficiency and continuous improvement aligned with global SCM objectives. Familiarity with Aramco processes and offshore industry practices is preferred.
The role also promotes a strong HSEQ culture and upholds ethical standards, ensuring compliance with Subsea 7’s Code of Ethics and anti-bribery regulations.
What will you be doing?
Pre-Award
- Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure all requirements are included in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers on the Bidders List using the SAP Ariba tool.
- Responsible and accountable for finalizing the bid summary for small procurement items and making recommendations to the Project SCM Manager and Project Manager.
Award Management
- Prepares the unpriced Purchase Order (PO) for submission to Aramco.
- Expedites the Purchase Requisition (PR) and PO in SAP and follows up on their approval.
- Ensures the Form of Agreement/Subcontract is signed via DocuSign.
- Updates the Project Procurement Plan and Budget accordingly.
Post-Award Management
- Coordinates and liaises with other functions contributing to the final delivery of the PO.
- Checks suppliers’ invoices, ensures Service Entry Sheets (SES) are completed, and that invoices are cleared/paid. Obtains the corresponding close-out certificate from suppliers.
- Provides reliable and up-to-date information on supply progress and supports updates to the PO Delivery tool.
- Demonstrates the ability to work within a high-pressure environment, meeting demanding targets and tight deadlines.
- Adheres to SCM processes and utilizes SCM department tools for all the above activities.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Not required to resolve technical issues (this is the role of the Technical Owner), but must be able to understand technical discussions and assess potential commercial or schedule impacts.
- Cost-saving oriented and capable of challenging requests.
- Good knowledge of the offshore industry, its specificities, and complex items.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and is a team player.
