Title: Senior Hook Up Instrumentation/Communication Engineer

What will you be doing?
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION
The Senior Hook UP Instrumentation/Communication Engineer is working in Operations department being in charge of supporting and coordinating the electrical and instrumentation hook-up activities, onshore and offshore.
They will be managing vendors and subcontractors, as well as maintain good relationship with Client as well as oversees developing technical requisition for material and equipment required for hook-up activities, as well as for technical scope of work for subcontracted services.
The engineer will work in offshore hook-up campaign preparation by developing job cards, material tracker, tie in list, all activities list and will emphasize teamwork and influence Subsea7 safe work culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Onshore:
• Attend to risk assessment level 1.
• Review all relevant engineering documents (P&ID, loop checks, wiring diagrams, technical datasheets, cable schedule).
• Prepare materials, job cards and bags & tags prior to offshore works.
• Ensure that applicable procedures are implemented (hook-up execution plan, safety and risk assessment, installation procedures).
• Write interface requests, request for information, site queries to final client when additional information is required.
• Prepare materiel requisition for Hook-up tools & equipment.
• Prepare technical scopes of work for subcontracted services.
• Develop job cards for site work execution.
• Prepare offshore mobilisation of material and personnel
• Ensure safe preparation of offshore operations.
Offshore
• Report safety observations regularly to maintain high safety standard level in the work site
• Participate to site toolbox talks and be proactive in safety.
• Participate to offshore surveys (Tie in point’s identification, site routing, identify potential clashes).
• Provide inputs to update offshore planning (hook-up sequences, physical progress)
• Prepare offshore material requests based on work sequences and schedule.
• Supervise electrical and instrumentation installation work at site. Ensure E&I subcontractor is working according to Subsea7 safety and quality standards, and work is delivered according to client expectations.
• Manage E&I subcontractors and vendors, forecast required resources to respect project planning and ensure efficient delivery.
• Manage technical issues offshore (and issue technical queries to client as required).
• Populate redline mark-ups as per site condition and submit for approval.
What experience would we like you to have?
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Engineering Degree associated with Electrical or Instrumentation specialties
• Previous experience in topsides E&I construction activities.
• Ability to propose decision on Technical items, Resources, Procurement
• 10 years minimum of relevant work experience is preferred
• Good knowledge of standard office software (MS Office, MS Project).
• Fluent in English Language – speaking & writing
