Subsea7 are looking for a Senior SCM Specialist (Electrical) to join the Dubai office on a staff basis. This role is responsible for managing the procurement of engineered electrical materials and services for oil & gas projects, ensuring delivery meets technical, safety, budgetary, and scheduling requirements. Aramco experience is essential for topside electrical works. The position supports both local and global SCM strategies, drives continuous improvement, and promotes a strong HSEQ and ethical compliance culture within Subsea 7. 

What will you be doing?

Pre-Award

  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA, QC, and HSE to ensure all requirements and contractual flowdowns are included in RFQs using SAP Ariba.
  • Review and clarify bids with relevant disciplines, covering commercial, contractual, and schedule aspects.
  • Finalise bid summaries and make recommendations to Project SCM Manager and Project Manager.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure best value for Subsea 7.

Award Management

  • Prepare subcontract documents and Supplier Commitment Approvals (SCA/CBE).
  • Expedite PRs, create POs in SAP, and ensure timely approvals and signatures via DocuSign.
  • Update procurement plans and budgets.

Post-Award Management

  • Understand project scope, schedule, budget, and supplier execution strategy.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with stakeholders.
  • Monitor PO progress using convergence plans and communicate priorities.
  • Organise audits, KOMs, and PPMs; manage supplier documentation and queries.
  • Act as main contact for supplier on all commercial and coordination matters.
  • Collaborate closely with Package Manager, Technical Owner, and Quality Owner.
  • Ensure timely delivery, compliance, and budget adherence of POs.
  • Manage logistics and shipment documentation.
  • Validate invoices, ensure SES completion, and close out accounts.
  • Lead lessons learnt sessions and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Provide accurate updates on supply progress and resolve issues proactively.
  • Handle commercial and financial matters, including variations and forecasting.
  • Follow SCM processes and use department tools effectively.

What experience would we like you to have?

 

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Business), or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, including vendor qualification, issuing RFQs and POs, PO follow-up, and close-out.
  • Aramco experience required for topside equipment such as switchgear, batteries, MCCs, transformers, electrical cables, power panels, lighting, cable glands, ICCP systems, and electrical consumables.
  • Not responsible for resolving technical issues (handled by the Technical Owner), but must be able to follow technical discussions and assess potential commercial or schedule impacts.
  • Cost-conscious and confident in challenging requests where appropriate.
  • Strong understanding of the offshore industry and its complexities, particularly with specialised equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player
