Title: Senior SCM Specialist-WOL

Subsea7 are looking for a Senior SCM Specialist (WOL) to join the Dubai office, on a staff basis. The Senior SCM Engineer manages the procurement of engineered materials and services, ensuring delivery meets technical, safety, budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Experience with Aramco processes, particularly for induction bends and mother pipes, is essential. The role supports both local and global SCM strategies, promotes cost efficiency, and contributes to a strong HSEQ and ethical culture within Subsea7.
What will you be doing?
Pre-Award
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA, QC & HSE to ensure all requirements and contractual flowdowns are included in tender documents; issue RFQs via SAP Ariba.
- Review and clarify bids across disciplines, covering commercial, contractual, schedule, technical, quality, and HSE aspects.
- Finalize bid summary and recommend supplier selection to Project SCM Manager and Project Manager.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure best value.
Award Management
- Prepare Form of Agreement/Subcontract and Supplier Commitment Approval (SCA/CBE) with deviation matrix.
- Expedite PR creation and PO approval in SAP.
- Ensure contract signature via DocuSign.
- Update procurement plan and budget.
Post-Award Management
- Understand project scope, schedule, budget, and PO integration with execution plan.
- Assess supplier strategy, key execution steps, and risks.
- Identify PO risks and develop mitigation plans with stakeholders.
- Define and monitor PO convergence plan; manage priorities and address delays.
- Organize audits, KOMs, and PPMs; track supplier documentation and resolve queries and deviations.
- Escalate PO issues and lead resolution efforts.
- Act as main contact for all PO-related matters; liaise with Package Manager and other functions.
- Collaborate with Technical and Quality Owners to ensure successful PO delivery.
- Manage logistics and shipment documentation; coordinate with transit agent.
- Validate invoices, ensure SES completion, and close out accounts.
- Lead lessons learned sessions and reporting.
- Provide accurate supply progress updates; identify delays and propose corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations post-completion.
- Work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Manage commercial and financial issues, including variations and cost forecasting.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Business), or qualified by experience.
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, including vendor qualification, issuing RFQs and POs, PO follow-up, and close-out.
- Strong knowledge of Aramco Supply Chain processes.
- Solid understanding of induction bends, including mother pipes and other pipeline items.
- Preferred experience with SAP/S4HANA, starting from RFQ stage.
- Not responsible for solving technical issues (handled by the Technical Owner), but able to follow technical discussions and assess potential commercial or schedule impacts.
- Cost-conscious and capable of challenging requests.
- Good knowledge of the offshore industry and complex items.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
