What will you be doing?

 

Overview of Role

Subsea7 is hiring a Senior SCM Engineer to manage procurement of “engineered” materials and/or services as allocated by the Project SCM Manager. They will be responsible for the final delivery of the materials/services as per the requirements of the project: technical specification, safety performance, budget, schedule, quality, contractual risks, etc.

 

The Senior SCM Engineer will also actively support the local SCM strategy and plans and contribute towards ongoing improvements to support the global SCM aims and to contribute to a highly efficient, cost driven Supply Chain function

 

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

 

All personnel are expected to provide leadership in code of ethics and compliance with the Bribery and Corruption Acts.    

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Contribute to defining SCM strategies and goals for the company and help ensure they are met.
  • Ensure highly effective implementation of the sourcing strategy for the assigned business area via business partnering initiatives, knowledge and skills.
  • Manage the process relevant to the specific role, including the support of internal clients.
  • Ensure SCM capitalises from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
  • Contribute to the selection, management and monitoring of vendors.
  • Assist and coordinate the development of the Project Procurement Plan, together with Project Management, Engineering (and/or others as appropriate and applicable).
  • Assist with the implementation and conduct of the operational elements of the Supply Chain strategy and support the local SCM specific activities.
  • Support the development of the local Supply Chain Function through guidance and coaching to more junior members of the team.

What experience would we like you to have?

Required Qualifications

 

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Business) or qualified by Experience
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain Management Experience. Have sound knowledge of Aramco Supply Chain processes
  • Sound knowledge of Tender support in ME
  • Working experience with SAP/S4HANA, right from RFQ
  • Is not required to solve technical issues (role of the Technical Owner) but shall be able to understand technical discussions and to measure potential associated commercial or schedule impacts.
  • Is “cost saving” oriented, and capable of challenging requests.
  • Have a good knowledge of the offshore industry and its specificities and of complex items.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and works well with others.
  • Engaged and committed to meet tight deadlines.
