What will you be doing?
The Subsea Pre-Commissioning Equipment Lead is expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
The Equipment Lead plays a strategic leadership role in developing and executing the global equipment strategy for subsea pipeline pre-commissioning operations. This includes fleet management, equipment utilization, CAPEX planning, and operational coordination across all Subsea 7 regions.
The role ensures alignment between project, engineering, SCM, offshore resources, and workshop teams to support project and tender requirements. Responsibilities span short-term operational readiness to long-term asset planning, financial forecasting, and optimization of the global fleet.
The Equipment Lead supports execution excellence by monitoring delivery, identifying risks and opportunities, ensuring resource readiness, and promoting standardization and quality across all subsea pre-commissioning activities. They are also responsible for coaching and managing the technical team, including equipment engineers and technical authorities, to ensure consistent performance and continuous improvement.
What experience would we like you to have?
Finance and Corporate strategy
Control and report progress of subsea pipeline activities against the agreed budget, CTR and schedule. Prepare and organise Project Monthly Status Report for review by regional PMT.
Finance reporting and forecasting on current and future projects
CAPEX development and business cases
Keep management updated on technical and financial progress on a regular basis
Lead Bi-Monthly operational committee (MoM)
Participate in tax strategy optimization for equipment
Equipment Strategy & Fleet Management
Manage equipment strategy and coordination (storage, location, maintenance).
Develop equipment utilization and fleet strategy to maximize return to Subsea7
Equipment strategy, coordination and forecasting for projects and tenders
Equipment rationalization: check equipment against requirements / scope.
Project & Tender Coordination
Regional engagement and development to create global subsea unit engineering know-how and awareness/acceptance
Coordinate the activities between the various stakeholders (offshore resources, customized solution, offshore crewing and regional project teams).
Communicate efficiently with Pre-Commissioning leads on project.
Support project/tender team with CTR and budget preparation
Support with the subsea precomm pipeline activities on projects, as needed: ensure RACI matrix implementation, provide inputs schedule of activities, agree budget with Project Team.
Assist the Project team during meetings with COMPANY as required.
Execution & Operations Oversight
Manpower strategy and coordination
Project and Offshore Resources interface
Monitor all subsea pipeline deliverables are issued for the intended scope
Ensure activities progress safely with the appropriate level of quality and as per schedule.
Identify changes, risks and opportunities and ensure proper management of those.
Ensure the equipment and personel mobilization processes are clear, communicated and respected.
Check that the allocated resources are sufficient and that level of experience to carry out the work and meet the target is adequate.
Competencies.
Office based position
Engineering Degree or 10+ years previous relevant experience

Ability to prioritize own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members when constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.
Availability to travel to different offices worldwide
